I downloaded the outfit and hair combo but it just crashes the game, what do 🥲

Since the newest update, the game has crashing because of custom color files that many mods used. Unfortunately you can't use those mods without the modder updating those files or just deleting the cmd files yourself in the mod folder (you'll lose custom coloring but will at least be able to use the mod).
But try this in fluffy to see if it fixes this one.
press "Uninstall all mods" button
press "reread game archives" button
press "refresh mod list" button
Then install only this mod to see if there's still issues. -

Hey there, just followed all these steps and it seems the game still crashes for me while only using this mod too. Not sure what the issue could be.
Edit: Your Cammy no jacket Costume 3 mod is working for me though as reference. -
Try doing that whole process again in fluffy then boot up the game vanilla without any mods. Then go back and try reinstalling the mod.
If that doesn't do it, maybe a reinstall of the game might do it. I'm not exactly sure what could be causing crashes like that.
I even redownloaded it from here to be sure the rar isnt corrupted or something but it runs fine for me. -
I followed all the steps as well and the mod still crashes my game, I tried my luck with just the standalone outfit as well and same outcome. Hope you fix it because it looks beautiful ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

Same. Just reinstalled the game too and same issue. The mod looks beautiful in the images too. Hope it gets fixed.

I'm honestly not sure what else you guys could try tbh. I've had others try out the mod to be sure that it works and it does seem to work fine. If it isn't any other mod that's conflicting with it, then the only other thing it may be is a problem with the mod manager. You could try reinstalling that or making sure it's setup correctly. Would any of you mind giving any more details how you're installing mods?

The usual process, I have a lot of mods installed that work but ZSS is the exception, I'm glad I am not alone 🥲

If you wouldn't mind giving some details on how you're doing it, we can see if there's anything different we could try. Also, I repackaged the rar file if you want to try downloading the rar that's in the miscellaneous section called "ZSS Suit and Ponytail repackaged rar". Let me know if it works for you.

Hello I tried using your new ZSS Suit and Ponytail repackaged rar but it still crashes my game, oh well.
These are my steps, download mod, unzip, paste it to fluffy folder and see if it works.
I did all the previous steps in case of troubleshooting.
There were no mods on when attempting besides yours and all that P: it is a curse ! !

try not unzipping it. drag the rar directly into fluffy

No problem. But I am curious what specifically about this mod could be causing that. Have you tried any other mods released since the newest update? Would you mind trying this one? https://www.nexusmods.com/streetfighter6/mods/1316?tab=files
It uses similar file changes as mine so I'm curious if its something specific that both mods are changing.
I don't want to take up more of your time trying to fix this though so don't trouble yourself if you'd rather not keep troubleshooting. -

I don't have C3 but your Juri rat mod works and this one of yours https://www.nexusmods.com/streetfighter6/mods/940 also works just fine.
Lastly, the crash report/freeze happens when I hover over Cammy after a second.

To expand on what Sgt Ryu said, the game only crashes while hovering over Cammy's C1 costume slot for over a second. If you quickly select C2/C3 before the image can register then it's fine.

would any of you mind extracting the folder and deleting all of the files that are named like "esf009_001_cmd_001.user.2"
they should all be in this folder path "natives\stm\product\model\esf\esf009\001"
then try reinstalling the mod from fluffy like that. This will mess up all the colors but I want to see if these files are to blame.
If that doesn't work, could you try deleting the file called "esf009_001_01_v00.mdf2.31"
the file path for that one is "natives\stm\product\model\esf\esf009\001\01"
then reinstall. It's going to screw up all the textures but it may point to this file as the culprit.
Let me know if either of these work please. -
Just tried both methods, and deleting the last file you mentioned worked. Costume shows up with no crashes. The file you mentioned: "esf009_001_01_v00.mdf2.31" seems to be the culprit!
Edit: The costume looks amazing btw. Definitely the best ZSS mod on the site. -

Out of curiosity, what graphic settings do you guys play on? I'm curious if it has something to do with the resolution of the texture files.

That may not be it then. I've been pretty busy so I haven't been able to test much but I'm thinking I may just have to make a "lite" version of this mod. The current one has to use that mdf for the glow effects and separate textures but if it's causing issues for some, I may have to get rid of the glow and condense the textures so that it works without it. Not sure when I'll have time to do this but hopefully soon. I'll keep you guys posted when I put that up.

I know one of you said even the standalone suit mod is crashing but I'm curious if the ponytail mod is also in need of a rework. Could any of you try installing just the ponytail mod and let me know if you get crashes too? It has a similar file setup so it wouldn't surprise me if it's also causing crashes.
I've been chipping away at the "lite" version of this mod btw. Idk how soon it'll be done but I've made a good amount of progress on it already. -
Update on this (also sorry to keep pinging you guys)
I was actually able to test this mod on a pc that also crashes when trying to use this mod. At this point though, I have already made much progress on the "lite" version. It condenses the materials into something simpler with no visual difference from the original mod aside from the glowing being slightly less intense. I tested it out on this other PC and it seems to run fine with it. I'm still not entirely sure what was causing the crashes but if it works, then I may just make this one the main version of the mod. For now though, I just need to redo the color variations since stuff got moved around. So hopefully in a few days i'll have the fixed version uploaded. -
Just checked the downloads and I'm not sure I see a standalone Ponytail mod? Interesting.

love how this mod looks, i hope you can get it to work soon! i wonder why that texture you said to delete in the other comment is causing an issue...
on another note, the way her front foot bends is kind of distracting XD but maybe thats an issue with the model import (for the most part im not aware of what goes into making these things i just wanted to mention it)-
I appreciate it, man. That file messes with like 10 different texture files and other parameters like glow effects so it's kind of difficult to pinpoint exactly what about it is causing crashes. It's even weirder that its only crashing for some and not others. I'm going to work on a simplified version of the mod that won't need to use that file soon though. Hopefully that clears up the issues even if the mod has to lose the glow effects. (I'll still keep the glow version up for anyone that is able to run it btw)
Also it's funny you mention the foot thing because it was something I spent a while trying to fix but it was tough to make it look right. It's mostly due to how Cammy's model poses her feet, allowing for a bit of warp in her normal boots without anything strange looking. Since the Samus model uses more heel-like boots that are normally more stiff, it ended up looking very awkward no matter what I tried. It was either this, misaligning the boots with the ground, or keeping the boot straight at the cost of her ankles looking like they were broken just in her default stance lmao. I'll definitely take another crack at it though, I do have some ideas how I can make it work better at least. I do appreciate you bringing this stuff up though. It gives me motivation to fix stuff and make it better overall lmao. -
