helllo i just want to make sure i have the mod installed right i read the instructions you posted and everything , i wanted to make sure i didnt need to instal the first TRP instal and then instal the hotfix overtop of that and replace files or anything like that , or am i entirely ok with just installing the hotfix version , id like to aim for the full exp of the modpack, also any news for act 2 release date?
This is an excellent mod. And I look forward to Act 2. That said my biggest complaint is I'm getting information overload and am semi-directionless. What I mean is, the things Alterra is wanting me to do is bombarding me so I have no idea what to do first. Coupled with the radio messages from the OG. And this is made worse when I'm being piranha-fied so I don't get to enjoy the beautiful voice acting and other events that occur (such has that "ghost" PRAWN jumping off the Gun). Then I get told to craft a specific item but have ZERO idea where to begin looking for fragments. When the difficulty is cranked from 0 to 100 within the first 5 minutes or less, I don't want to be aimlessly scouring every inch of the floor looking for that fragment that's the size of a laser cutter frag.
Honestly, it feels like at one of those rodeo events that I'm wholly unprepared for and I just got gored from the bull immediately out the gate. There's no mystery or build up. If I'm to change something, It would be having small things (randomly taking damage from a peeper or the diver that lurks just beyond your peripherals that does nothing but to unnerve you) that make you go "Hmn? What's going on? Eh. Must be some weird bug or something" then kick it off after the Sunbeam gets blown up and let things snowball from there when the OG officially takes off the training wheels.
This isn't a matter of taste because like I said, I think this is great and to give you kudos for how hard you and your team worked. This is just some feedback so you can make this mod truly shine like the ruby it is. And I can't wait for Act 2. I'm currently watching Anthomnia play it. It's his LP that even put ya'll on my radar.
Honestly, agree with kok on the difficulty being a bit too high early on. Should be a bit harder, but not "help I'm getting swarmed right out the gate" hard. It should progress a decent bit faster than the vanilla kharaa.
Does Having The Return Of The Ancient's DEMO, Or Any of Those Mods (like The Ones Anthomnia Used In The Series) Change The Story At All? Specifically ROTA, Due To The Garg And All..
I've just finished red plague storyline and from what I saw I think it doesn't affect ROTA at all. Although I saw mutated bloop from bloop and blaza mod, if you're interested.
Howdy! While The Red Plague technically works with the ROTA demo and other overhaul mods, it isn't recommended as there may be conflicts. All creatures, both modded and vanilla, will be affected by the plague however.

Great effort and decent execution. Horrendous game design and game direction. Storyline is completely in odds with the main plot, there are way too many plagued fish attacking you all the time with hideous and loud sound effect, randomly teleporting plagued deepsea creatures in shallow waters and on Aurora, some bioms are gategept for some reason and the abomination in reactor room stops you from getting rid of radiation entirly. I was about to ragequit the game but then red plague plot ended to my relief. This need serious gameplay changes in the future to not be so annoying. Also I would consider disabling main plot if I were developing this mod.

hey there im wandering if anyone else realized that the plague core was kind of in the game still and i havent found all to much but i did finish the main story line but im not to sure how much farther i am able to go within it also in order for more of the mod should i install like return of the ancients and such? because i just got the bare minimum of what was needed so not sure if more was recommended/should get
Howdy! There are some leftover things that aren't intended to be found or aren't properly implemented yet. I would recommend having a save that is right after you build the dome as to avoid potential conflicts with your save in future acts due to events being activated early.
If you don't have a save after building the dome, it's likely you will have to restart your save. Sorry!
