Greetings. I have the following question. There was a mass cleanup of mods in Steam today, it seems that all your mods and another author were deleted. I still have a backup copy of all those deleted mods. And if your mods work fine, but 11 others, as I realized, from another author, now when I start the game I get an error:
Plugin 'ChaosCloth' failed to load because module 'ChaosCloth' could not be found. Please ensure the plugin is properly installed, otherwise consider disabling the plugin for this project.
Is there any way to get around this error so that I can run the game with those modifications?
UPD: Found a strange solution to make these 11 mods work. Just threw them in the path “Steam\steamapps\common\致命解药\TheKillingAntidote\Mods” and the game started normally, all mods work.
Glad you figured out. But you should place most mods in the "TheKillingAntidote\Mods" folder. All my mods are there apart from a select few. I am also glad you made a backup of your mods from Steam. Learned that the hard way from other games.
The ~mods folder should rarely be used. It causes the bug you mentioned and it should be used for overwriting other mods.
I believe the reason this error occurs, is due to the fact many mods are badly built. The pak file has errors, which usually include the Project folder and content. Big mistake, makes the mod bloated and error laden.
Do you mean "Paks\~mods" folder??? I don't know a single mod that needs to be placed into SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\The Killing Antidote\TheKillingAntidote\Mods
Most mods are better placed in the ".\TheKillingAntidote\Mods" folder, as the ~mods is better used for patches and to overwrite other mods. But in most cases it's fine to place it in ~mods.
