I've never uploaded anything to the Workshop. I did look into it when I started making stuff for this game but I couldn't figure it out so I just stuck with Nexus only.
Yep, a lot of people do and I understand. I wish I had recorded my first reaction to that overlay. I was like "What..the...f*#@?!?!?!?" and then IMMEDIATELY started digging into the files to see if I could disable it. Whoa crikey, is that an awful effect...

Same here, can't think of a single one throughout my entire life of gaming that I thought was actually needed or that I liked. When I saw this one, I thought it was a bug or something...and then I realized what it was and immediately went after the files like a rabid dog wanting to disable it. Glad you came across the mod, happy, non-screen overtaking with useless blood overlays, hunting.
It boggles my mind what was in the devs' heads when they implemented this, not only is uglier than most of these "warning" effects (they all are hideous almost by definition but a necessary evil in some specific instances, not this one mind you, obvs), it's absolutely redundant, we have a perfectly, albeit a little small health display in the hud, but it's not like we can't hear the character literally GASPING AND MOANING IN PAIN whenever she's close to death. Hopefully this "feature" is this in the devs' shortlist for deletion for the next update. Thanks you for the mod, it is an absolute necessity at this time.
Yep, completely agree with you on that one. It's hard to explain my reaction when I first saw it. Just a kind of absolute confusion. I honestly thought something was just glitching but when I realized what it was, I literally said " Oh, no!" out loud because I just didn't think something this stupid would be done by them considering the quality of everything else. I finished whatever map I was playing on and immediately went to the files to see if I could find and disable it.
Yeah, I thought it was jarring, too. The HUD is very readable, in my opinion and you definitely don't need it for that. Maybe to increase the tension or something but YEESH, that's not the right way to do it. That might be the ugliest low health overlay i can remember. Surprising considering the game is so good but that was a HUGE mistake.
Yeah, game already has various audio & visual cues to let us know of Jodi's status. I don't even look at the health & stamina icons anymore. Game's HUD is almost perfect.
