The visual fidelity is great, but I cannot use this mod because it makes everything so incredibly dark that I can't see anything making the mod ultimately pointless outside of Jodi's office or the brightly lit safe rooms.
even with my flashlight and the brightness turned all the way up, its way too difficult to navigate and see things in game.
Graphically you probably wont see any difference, but it will affect the performance depending on your rig. For me when I run on dx12 I get random frame drops.
If the author of this mod is still around, I've a few questions. *Is it possible to disable eye adaption? While you are in a room with lights, you kind of see a in dark room but when you enter that dark room, everything becomes pitch black. I wouldn't mind pitch black if enemies wouldn't see you neither. Also, normally if you go in a dark room and next room has lights on, it emits some light and you still can see. As for eye adaption, it works totally wrong in this game. Normally when you enter a dark room, eyes adapt to the light level and after a few seconds, you're able see while in this game, everything becomes darker without any logic like lights would been cut by the door frame. *Is it possible to increase light source fade distance. It doesn't make sense to look in the room and area where are lights is black until you get closer. This is not caused by this mod but the game itself. I'm just wondering can this mod change that. As for the mod itself, it's really Epic.
I just installed your visuals enhanced for the game to play the second playthrough. What a shame I didn't notice your mod sooner. That's what I was missing. The game seemed too light to me. I don't understand why others say it's too dark. On the contrary, now flashlights makes a difference and the game feels more like survival-horror now.
In chapter 1 without this mod there's a save room with a chest that isn't there until you get close to the room. It then just appears. I screenshotted it to post in the discord but haven't yet.
This is excellent, thank you, FrancisLouis. Really appreciate the removal of the fake lighting. Now absence of a light source = dark, as it should be.
For those battling with the darkness, you can use a fake HDR option in ReShade to reduce it. Personally, I've found that either MagicHDR or FakeHDR work best for me, here and in RE2R and RE3R. This mod https://www.nexusmods.com/thekillingantidote/mods/38 advises how to install ReShade for TKA and provides a couple of presets.

I wish the mod didn't make everything so dark.
