Este usuario encontró una solución temporal para The Last Of Us.
En este caso, el juego es The Last of Us Part I.
Hey, found the option, but when i click on the save button, the app says that there was a exception error, and the option dont change. I have a RTX 3050 6GB
Sorry if this is stupid, does this work with the vulkan mod? Would like the best experience possible and I know I'll benefit from one of these mods but I'm hoping I'll get amazing performance with both
I'm at the latest drivers 572.42. I cant' find the memory allocation option. i tried older version of the inspector but it closes after initialization. Only the latest version stays open. Is there any other way to modify the setting?
Hey bro!! I see that you have updated a new file named "CustomSettingNames.xml-14-1-0-1737010734.7z".. Now with the already uploaded folder namely "NvidiaProfileInspector-14-2-4-0-4-1680370307" Which consisits of 3 files which are :- 1) nvidiaProfileInspector 2) nvidiaProfileInspector.exe 3) Reference.xml
Can you please help me guide through each steps on what to do with these 3 files and also with the newly uploaded file!! Sorry if i'm being a pain in the ass 😭
So like with the 3 file in the folder "NvidiaProfileInspector-14-2-4-0-4-1680370307" I should also copy and paste the file "CustomSettingNames.xml-14-1-0-1737010734.7z" in the game file ?!!
Hey bro i am relly sorry but i am not able to understand the process of what i should be doing with the file "CustomSettingNames.xml" that you have recently uploaded in your files!! Again sorry for adking since i am new to this... Also i am not able to find the Memory Allocation Policy" option.
No problem bro, just understand it's simple, everything should be in the same place at the same folder the memory allocation policy appears at the very beginning of the list lol
Forget about shadercache, it just changes when you set it to unlimited, but the Nvidia driver already sets it to something around 4GB to 10GB, set memory allocation to agressive, is what actually changes, but after the last two big patches 1.0.5 and 1.1 I haven't tested this workaround, feel free to see if it enhances your experience.
It's patch 1.1.2 btw, I was getting 80+ normal FPS but around 30-40 FPS for 1% lows, especially running inside houses and quickly turning. It was starting to give me a headache, but I think one of the things did smth. Memory allocation I guess? Since you're saying that Shadercache does nothing, However I couldnt tell if it was set to 4GB or 10GB in the Profile Inspector, it just showed Unlimited.
Then set to at least 10GB, I remember setting to unlimited and the game's performance was awful, it really does nothing but the unlimited setting fucks it up, I already know the problem you're having with the game, I messed up with this game for more than 30 hours straight, I know is patch 1.2.2, but the big udpates that had performance improvements was 1.0.5 and 1.1, I'm not going to ask you the amount of RAM or VRAM that you have right now, or the resolution you're playing, but I'm going to tell what I think is your problem, which I had.
I play at 1440p and I have a 3070 and 32GB of RAM, most of things are maxed out and just texture of dynamic objects and environment textures are on high and not ultra, texture streaming on normal, some months ago I didn't have 32GB of RAM, I had 16GB, and with clean Windows 11 and apps closed my game was exceding RAM, everytime I was in game, it was solid 70-80 fps, but then it was dropping to 40 to 30s just like you because of the RAM, when I got the 32 gigs the game started using 20GB+ of RAM and I never had the memory swap performance problem anymore, maybe this can answer your problem, if its not your case, tell me your RIG.
6GB 3060 Laptop GPU, 32GB RAM, playing on 1600p with medium to high settings just 300MB shy of my VRAM limit. DLSS on Balanced.
I know of the memory leak issue you're talking about, you're supposed to download "oo2core_9_win64" DLL file from a good working game and replace the borked one in the Last of Us. Its supposed to help.
Others also reported that "Mouse jitter control cause FPS stutter and turning off Raw Mouse Input helps", like for people who use a Controller on their PC its buttery smooth but using a normal mouse and its shit. Can you f*#@ing imagine?
This port it literally the worst one I've seen so far.
to anyone having trouble finding the memory allocation policy i found a fix, find the OGL_DX_PRESENT_DEBUG and change the value to 0x000802A5 and apply then memory policy should appear.

5gb shader cache did it, together with the memory tweak, 6gb rtx 2060 here, i can use 6500mb vram in game with good performance.

just now changed everything and also used the optiscaler framegen mod and i am getting around 90 to 100 fps
Thanks a lot!!

+ I use DLSS on Quality Mode.
