If you're having trouble opening the menu using CTRL + tilde, it's most likely because you're using a European keyboard layout. And although I didn't have the same problem in Part 1, I experienced this issue while modding Part 2.
I'm based in the Czech Republic and normally using the (QWERTZ) layout. Switching my keyboard layout to US (QWERTY) solved the problem for me.
So, if you can see the stats on screen but can't open the menu after launching the game, temporarily change your keyboard layout to US English while modding. You can easily switch back to your preferred layout afterward.
PS.: I haven't tested this yet, so it's a complete guess, but pressing these two buttons might work on a European keyboard. Try it out if you want to avoid changing your keyboard settings -> https://imgur.com/a/RjJrLtn
Hey. For those who are struggling to get this mod working. On the other Debug Menu's discussions are tips how to make it work even with the latest patch. I've noticed that a lot of people struggle to make it work regardless. Here's a tutorial step by step.
1. STEP: Get rid of the old mod if you still have it in the game. If you had it installed via Vortex, uninstall it. If you did it manually, make sure that you copy your original "tlou-i.exe" file back into the main folder to "remove" the mod this way.
After you get rid of it (I uninstalled every mod I had connected to it to have a completely clean game, but you prolly don't have to).
Then, download Goghor's "Debug Menu" manually (NOT via Vortex). If Goghor's mod won't work with the next steps, you can go to this one (worked perfectly for me): https://www.nexusmods.com/thelastofuspart1/mods/56?tab=files
When you have it downloaded, you extract it to get the "tlou-i.exe" file. You need to copy it into the Tlou direct folder. Before you do though, make sure you have a copy of the original "tlou-i.exe" from that very folder before you hit "replace". You'll need it if you will want to remove the mod in the future.
2. STEP: Download these two .dll files (it's completely safe, no viruses).
FIRST: https://www.dll-files.com/ffx_fsr2_api_x64.dll.html (download the 0.15MB version)
SECOND: https://www.dll-files.com/ffx_fsr2_api_dx12_x64.dll.htmlWhen you are done, extract the files.
Then, copy both of them into the main Tlou directory folder where you previously replaced the "tlou-i.exe".
Then, run the game and it should work. It works only if you do it manually, because when I did it via Vortex, no mod appeared in the game.
Okay. Maybe the uploader took them down. Let me upload them for you. I can't do that right now, I'm at work. But I will do as soon as I'm home. I'll send you a link once it's done.
I am pretty new to modding, and i am installing this via steam. I already know what to do, but i wanna know what this does? and is it compatible with the steam?
yes its compat, and this is debug menu, it allows you to see on screen codes pertaining information on stats, hardware stats, game scene loads and shaders being used in the scenes, items being loaded into the scene, it also allows you to use no clip, god mode, infinite ammo, add weapons, mess with scripts within the game scenes, mess with your fov and camera, cinematics and game filters, a bunch of mumbo jumbo that 99% of people wont understand. the main reason to install this is to spawn weapons, mess with their stats, god mode, no clip, and accuracy, things of that nature, but there is lots of options within the menu itself, its just that they're for developers to mess around with and not exactly your average person. its not possible to mess anything up, youll just have to reload the checkpoint or game if you break something. for people knew to modding id stick with wemod, its a much simpler menu that does just about everything the ingame menu does without having debug dev stats on your screen. wemod works for almost every game and its a app you run on your desktop that attaches to the game process. just go to google and type in wemod in the search bar and youll find it. its very good at what it does. it only works for single-player and coop games.
just drop the exe into the game folder and overwrite the original exe. if youre on the latest version of the game 1.1.4.0 itll error out and a prompt will say missing specific dlls, just search each one up on google one by one and download them. the site dllme has all but one, dll-files site has all of them.
it does work, just drag and drop the exe and when it shows the error missing dlls download each one from google, i use dllme, i think they were missing one of the dlls on that site, so just type the name into google and download it

Here's a solution.

Hope this helps. 🤟🏻
Download this .rar file. It contains the two mentioned .dll files.
Just extract it and copy into the Tlou directory folder. Hope this helps.
