hey i saw you had interest in trying to work around the 255 byte limitation, it might be possible to write a line that states a different value per byte like 1 = 5 allowing for a higher cap but each point being worth multiple could cause its own issues <3 god speed
Apologies if the question is a bit odd, but this website seems to have completely broken for me and I can't actually download anything or even scroll to other pages in the comments thread to see if it's already been answered.
What I'd like to know is how exactly you managed to increase the number of attribute points available.
I found the file which handles the number skill specialisations and the points you get per skill category (Indiana/Content/Blueprints/Player/CharacterCreationData.uasset, then alter NumStartingSkillCategories and NumSkillSpecializationPoints respectively). That was easy enough.
But I've no idea where to even look for the number of attribute points. It's not in there. Again, if the downloads page here worked then I'd have just unpacked the mod and taken a look for myself. But it doesn't. Hence the question.
Works with Spacers choice edition and exactly what I was looking for.
I went with 12 attributes at 5 skills at +50. My only regret was not being able to afford a point in strength for the carry weight but I found vanilla didn't allow for a fleshed out character.
Seriously they raised the level cap and then added virtuoso to all skills? That's 50 additional skill points and you have how many skills under-leveled now?
I'm also interested how did it. We would appreciate if you could make a video and post a link here.
1st download both mentioned apps from Github, you can just google them individually under AssetEditor by kaiheilos and UAssetGUI by atenfyr, usually first result on a google search.
2nd Download any of the mods posted by OP to use as a base for the edit, i recommend 14, 7, 100 as it edits all the things and gives you a better idea of what value you want to edit. Unpack the mod using asseteditor, (if it asks for a version or gives you a warning on the top right choose 4.16 and it should work) then open folder it creates and choose the CharacterCreationData.uasset file in UAssetGUI, then tweak the CharacterCreationData files to match your needs, just don't bump them too high or it will crash the game
