Just a note to say there's nothing wrong with the 'old versions' in the files. I just grouped them in zip files to clean up the files page. There's too many to have each separate and they're small files anyway so I'm grouping them from now on. Please still only use one version at a time (it shouldn't crash but will one will overwrite the other).
There’s several that change the points to 30. One makes it 20 points for 7 skills. You want 20 points for fewer skills? I don’t mind adding more but being specific helps because I don’t want to make a bunch no one will use..
Perhaps I did not understand something in the description (I have bad English), but I meant the number of points that are given to the character with each level up, not when creating a character. The point is to start with an vanilla character, but with each level up, you will receive not 10 points, but 20 or 30 points.
Oh okay, I see what you mean. I don't know how to do that though. I don't know where that data is stored. I wish I did! If I find it, I'll be sure to upload something.
I second this request, I feel that modifying amount of skill points per level would be best because it still allows for some feeling of progression. If not as mod, is there a way to edit that some other way, though Cheat Engine or some such?
Thanks for your mods, I'm using a few of them. Can't believe Obsidian decided to add 50 points to all skill caps but only increased level cap by 6. This should help balance that somehow.
Thank you, it was just what I was searching for. Any chance of you adding +40 and +50 also? I want to dial in compensation for the increased skill checks with the DLC along with getting to the capstones more easily, and wanted to experiment a bit with what felt right. Would it be possible to do it for fewer skills? Like 3 skills +30, 50 and 100, or something in that vein?
Yes that is also what I'm looking for. A mod that you can set the amount of points you get each level or so. There is a mod (Companions Get Perk Every Level) that gives companions 1 Perk point per level so there must be a way to make a character get what ever many skill points and or perk points per level as well, I would think.
The companion perk mod is also made by me lol. I don’t know how to change the number of perks for the player. I would think it’d be doable too but I don’t know how.
I think I have figured out the trick of the 150 lockpick/hack bug.
Right now I have Felix and Parvati both in the party, Very Good attributes all around, Lockpick at 150, Level 36, and an adjusted Lockpick skill of 334... and I can still open doors and containers on the Groundbreaker (which is as far as I've gotten with this save).
The difference is, I do /not/ have the Inspiration Virtuoso perk because my Inspiration is only 145. That's the one that gives you +10% of a Companion's skill bonus on passive when they're /not/ in the party. I think Obsidian didn't test that one when they figured it.
At any rate, I hope this works. Last time locks didn't start breaking for me until I got to Roseway, we'll let you know.
(add) Did Relay GB-25 and half of Roseway with both Parvati and Felix in the party to boost my already-maxed Lockpicking, locks still worked. Last time, this is about when locks started breaking. We may have solved this!
(add) Just shut down both of the radio stations on Monarch and have successfully hacked 150 difficulty hacks and picked 150 difficulty locks, with all attributes and skills maxed except Inspiration is only at 145. Yeah, I defniitely think we've solved this.
To recap, the trick seems to be to not increase Inspiration to 150.
the 9999 version cause bug like unable to repair stuff and skill doesn't work even if you have enough skill point. the negative version is a good challenge i hope you can make a -50 version.
I just tested it and sure enough, no repairs can be done. It says you need 0 parts and then the repair does nothing. Interesting but annoying. I added this info to the main page. Thanks again for commenting with this.
In my testing the +150 causes bugs just like the +999 version. For me downgrading to the +100 seems to have fixed it and I can hack and lockpick again.
First of all, thank you very much, your mods are having a lot of fun, I would like to know if it is possible to create a mod that gives us more talent points? I saw a save game that has all talents enabled, I wanted to create the most op character in the galaxy lol.
What do you mean by talent points? There's attributes (strength, dexterity, perception, etc) and skills (handguns, dodge, persuade, etc). Attributes can't be changed yet except with cheat engine. Skills are what this mod changes. Do you mean perks? I'll take a look at it, I'll try looking at how flaws are added since you get a perk with each one. Maybe could increase the number of perks per flaw. (big maybe, I don't know how it's added or if it's even in the files I can edit)
I was referring to perks, the level max is 36, which gives us up to 18 points to spend, I wanted to have enough points for all perks, which are 42, so if we got 3 points for every 2 levels, instead of only 1 , we would have enough points. https://staticdelivery.nexusmods.com/mods/3037/images/6/6-1572124904-152323259.png

Does this still work with the Space's Choice edition?

and you didn't ask for 5 skills but I made a few like that too
