Thanks so much for this! I was looking for a mod to disable the NPC vampires automatically resorting to flying/disappearing as mist although - in conjunction with this mod I may have found another solution for those with existing save files, still yet to be further tested but can't at the current moment.

I have MCCC, though perhaps any mod that is able to view and remove hidden traits can do the trick. I was looking through removing some traits from what happened to be one of the vampire sims flying around as a bat. There was a trait for her basically saying (can't remember verbatim) the fly as bat ability was enabled. When using the remove traits option on MCCC search "vampire" to narrow down the options (using "bat" brings up Batuu related traits if you have that pack), it should say "enabled" at the end for whichever mode you're looking to disable. Upon removing it, for the time being that sim won't be teleporting to places. Having the mod installed might help that stick.

Thank you for this, I am using this way, but I'd prefer one that allows the super speed because that actually works for me, the issue is them teleporting contantly to reposition themselves.

Sorry for such a late reply.  If you're still playing, that's a problem with the game itself.

If starting a new game or having new NPC vampires spawn in a current game, they won't have any of the teleport options; which will stop all NPC Vampires from constant teleporting.

If you want NPC Vampires to still have Super Speed, you can open this mod in Sims4Studio and delete Interaction Tuning: vampire_NPC_EnableVampireRouting_VampireRun out of it.

    Thank you

It was almost impossible to talk with my vampires because of Bat/Mist always on! It works too if you never saw the vampire in your world. I just use an old save who I never encounter my vampire. You saved my nerves, thanks again.

Thank you so much for this mod! You're a lifesaver! For some unknown reason, my game lags whenever any vampire teleport using any of those abilities, including my own sim (and they do it always, even for just short distances which is annoying >_<) so I'm looking for this kind of mod for a long time!

You're very welcome.  Glad you found this mod.  Sorry, I don't use modthesims website.  I just don't care for it.  I know it's harder for people to find my mods here on Nexus, but hopefully word of mouth gets around about Nexusmods and Sims mod user start checking here too.

As far as your animation issue lagging your game with Vampire movements; first thing to do is make sure all mods are up to date.  Once that is done, try cleaning out your Sims documents folder.  When you play Sims for a long time, add packs here and there, and with all the updates and new packs Sims constantly gets by EA; you should reset your documents folder every so often.  Save and move your mods, tray, and saves folder out of the Sims 4 documents folder.  Also save and move your custom music and screenshots folders if you use them, if not delete them too.  Delete the rest of the files and folders in Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4.  Don't bother saving your settings/config.  Just redo those.  With that folder completely empty, start up Sims 4.  All the necessary files and folders will re-created themselves.  Fix up all of your options and close the game.  Re-add all your saved folders and start up the game again.  Make a new test game as a vampire and see if you're still having a lagging issue.

I would start there to fix the issue, as it will only take a few minutes.

If the lag problem still exist, I'd say check your animation mods if you use any.  If you use any animations, regardless of what they are, remove all of them out of your mods folder.  Also remove any mod that supports the animation in order for it to work.  Restart the game and see if the lag problem persist.  If the lag problem does NOT persist, then you know the issue is within one of those mods.  I'm going to assume you know how to find the culprit; so I won't explain what to do.  However, if you do not know what to do, just let me know and I can give you instructions and how to find which mod is causing your problem.

If the lagging problem DOES persist without any animation mods, then your issue probably lies within your graphics card.  Honestly, when I first read your post, it sounded like a graphics card issue.  But before messing with that, it's best to check Sims 4 files and mods first.  So do the above first and if the problem continues, check that your graphics card drivers are all up to date.  If they are all up to date, you may want to try reinstalling the latest update to your graphics card.

So, the thing about graphics cards and video games that people don't know is that every video game you play creates their own cache/shaders/etc folder for the game.  The easiest way to clear out the graphics card cache to your games is to reinstall/overwrite the latest update to the graphics card.

Sometimes you may find one issue in one game out of all of them, such as your lag with Vampire movements.  Even though it is just one problem in one game, it honestly could be the Sims 4 game files within the graphics card itself.  And that can be from the game cache, a corrupted file or a shader that wasn't updated properly within the graphics card game files, etc.

If you're wanting to try to fix the problem, as I said, do the simple things first.  Update all mods.  Clean out and refresh the documents folder for Sims 4.  Then check animations mods, if any.  If none of that solves the issue, then check your graphics card for updates and/or reinstall the latest update for your card.

If you don't really care about the one problem, well... lol, then this will just be here if ever you want to do some IT work.  And this will be here for anyone else that reads this that has issues with one problem or two in a game (any game).

I know you didn't ask for help with the lagging issue, but it's there anyway.  :)

Unfortunately, NPC (un-played) vampire movements are baked into saves.  You would have to play as every Vampire and change their movement off; and/or remove their movement perk in current games.  Even that may not work once you put that back to un-played since their un-played state is already baked from the start.  You can try just leaving them as in-active if you want to try this method out.  I can't guarantee it will work.  I don't think it's worth the hassle though since Vampires don't show up much unless you have an abundance of them.  This mod will be here if/when you start a new game.  You can leave this mod into your load order while playing your current game.  Any new vampires that spawn should be affected by this mod.
