This Hard-mode mod aims to make the game more challenging by increasing the overall speed of every rival in the game, while also encouraging more ethical racing, and punishing cheap tricks like crashing into rivals. The goal is not to make the game overly difficult or frustrating, it instead tries to balance things so each race will last longer and feel more intense, or more "Xtreme" like the game title says. NOTE: Majority of the testing for this mod was done on version 0.10.2 of the game, right before the current patch which changed when Tuning Perks are unlocked, so please let me know if certain rivals are way too hard or way too easy, all feedback is welcome!
CHANGE LIST: -All bosses and wanderers had most of their performance parts increased by 1-2 levels on average, all other rivals were increased by 2-3 levels on average -All rivals had their maximum target speed increased by 20 km/h -Rivals are now immune to collision damage at 90% SP remaining instead of at 25% -You will lose 3x more SP from collisions into walls or other cars -Melancholic Angel's car has been reverted back to her pre-nerfed state, and her 2nd battle has increased all of her car's parts to the maximum level -Racable traffic cars known as "The Nameless One" were not buffed, but they are still affected by the collision damage changes
INSTALL: Extract the 3 "Hardmode_P" files (ending in .pak .ucas and .utoc) into your "[steam install folder]\steamapps\common\TokyoXtremeRacer\TokyoXtremeRacer\Content\Paks\" folder. If you're in the correct spot, you should see many "pakchunk0-Windows" and "pakchunk0optional-Windows" files in this folder.
UNINSTALL: Delete the 3 "Hardmode_P" files from the same folder listed above.
