Has anyone been able to fully restore original medipacks in the Classic mode for TR1-3 and expansions without breaking the game in any way?
If so - please, provide instructions.

One question before I download this weird looking mod (two separate folders? TR5?") why is it filed that way? There are only 3 released remastered Tomb Raiders. I HOPE they remaster TR4-TR6. That would be amazing. But TR5 remastered aint out. So why the file names? And why cant TR1-TR3 be together?

Awesome work! Thank you! Medi Packs were also changed in the same way in Classic Mode. Any chance you'd be willing to extend support to that mode, too?

AFAIK, there's no way to do this at the moment without changing all of the OG level files (.phd/.tr2). I suppose I could, at some point, when we've figured out whether or not doing so breaks the game (or if it's possible to change the remaster's level files, rather than altering the OG level files and inserting them into the remaster).

Dragononandon's Pierre Jacket Uncensored patch was able to swap the old graphics in by including the original level files (Which are unaltered). It'd be a daunting task though.

Just need to test if using original level files doesn't break anything... remaster has a very brute force way of switching to them, without smooth FPS, filtering or anything (but they took the time to bend over to ICRC as they're tossing Lavrov's horsey cornhole).

Green medpacks exist because of most corrupt "charity" in the world, Red Cross, embezzling money that people donated for help to buy yachts, mansions, sue videogames, and completely ignore concentration camps that dictator-of-the-week is mass murdering people at.

You know the same org that forces games to remove red crosses examined actual Nazi death camps and found them absolutely fine? Seriously.

PHD swapping has been working so far on my end without any issues for Raider 1, which resulted in red medpacks again.

TR3 is a lot trickier with its TRM files. Swapping everything but cutscene, sfx and title TRMs results in playable without red medpacks. Swapping in those exceptions however results in full on cutscene lockups and CTDs.

Hmm, so the TRM files store the object textures in this version? Interesting, I always thought it was in the level file itself (the TR2 files) in 3/data. Would that not work to remove Classic Mode Medi Pack censorship? Or are you wanting to change TRIII's green cross to red?

Edit - Porting in the original TRII level file seems to have not only removed medi pack censorship, but has restored TRII's tapestry background to classic mode!

Thanks for making this. Honestly, I think it's stupid that this mod even has to exist...but for those who are curious (copied from TV Tropes):

"Members of The Red Cross, particularly the Canadian Red Cross, have been highly protective of any potential infringement of the Red Cross symbolnote however, this is emphatically not for mundane issues like money or branding —
the symbol is protected under the Geneva Conventions as a distinctive
mark for medics and medical vehicles and facilities, marking them "off
    limits" in wartime as targets., leading people and companies to seek alternative symbols for medical treatment and emergency equipment;
examples including the adoption of the medical caduceus for health in
video games, the green cross on first aid kits, and the Star of Life on
American ambulances. See The Colored Cross for more examples applied in fiction."

Please guys, NEVER donate to them. Whatever branch of Red Cross exists, nobody actually seen them help in Syria, Ukraine, Myanmar or any other conflict zone. ICRC somehow manage to be more useless than UN peacekeepers, who spent last two years spending charity donations in most expensive hotels of Lviv, Kyiv and Odesa, never coming close the frontlines.

Thanks for this! Reason I can't stand the censored medpacks in games is because I know it's Red Cross spending donations people sent to help us to just sue every videogame in existence. Two years since full scale russian invasion of Ukraine, the Red Cross didn't visit the camps russia holds kidnapped Ukrainians and PoWs EVEN ONCE.

And every single time I see a green med pack it reminds me of our people being tortured every day, because I cannot unremember the organization that decided to focus on censoring medpack icons in Doom and Tomb Raider instead of actually doing what they're paid for. They literally have one job and since literally Hitler, Red Cross fails to see torture rooms and concentration camps right under their nose.

Apparently, ICRC only cares for copyrighting every instance of red-colored plus sign. f*#@ them.
  7. ABsolutely PERFECT thank you. Didn't realize how much I missed this until I tried this mod.

    Thanks for this!

To restore the medipack colors in classic graphics as well, it looks like you can copy paste the original level wads from older PC releases of TR1-3 to the [1-3]/DATA folders. Those are the data/*.PHD files for TR1, and the data/*.TR2 files for TR2 and TR3. I haven't tested this extensively enough to see if it breaks something else, but it fixes the medipacks at least.

For the GOG releases, you have to rename GAME.GOG to GAME.BIN and mount it with something like Virtual CloneDrive. The map wads are in the data folder.
