Cheat requests to add to the list: matrix Lara [infinite jump basically fly like in ps1 gameshark code], infinite sprint , walk on water, spider Lara [climb any wall], rapid fire weapons, walk on air, God Mode [nothing can kill lara], all levels open from the beginning, mega jump, enemies and animals are laras friend 🧡,instant finish game or outfit option open from the beginning, sprint option in tomb raider 1 and 2 .. spawn the bike anywhere
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I understood that this mod is not really a multiplayer version of the game because you can't really interact with each others games. This means, that you cant cooperate with other Laras to progress the game, share items or kill enemies together right?
What you are talking about is a coop play multiplayer, in which case then you are correct it is not that.
You explore the classic levels alongside friends, seeing each other and interacting. The mod's design intentionally keeps the core gameplay experience as the original developers intended (with exception of a few social features such as PvP), while adding a social layer. Think shared adventure, not altered gameplay.
The mod launcher also incorporates other mods dubbed "Super Lara". Those mods do alter behavior of the game.
In the description you mention that maintaining the server requires funding. I get that, that's completely normal and fair. But why not let other people host their own servers? Or make P2P connection possible (I might be wrong, but I don't think that requires a server)? I'm just thinking of the longevity of this mod. My friend's a die hard Tomb Raider fan, he's the one who linked me this, but when I mentioned this to him he said he won't even bother cause for all he knows, it could be dead in a year.
I don't mean any offense, I hope it doesn't come across like that. Maybe I also missed that this actually is possible. I just did not see any mention of this on here or on the website.
Thanks for bringing up those points about the server and the mod's future. It's really important to me that this project has longevity, and I appreciate you sharing your concerns.
I understand why you're asking about alternative server options like self-hosting or P2P. Right now, I'm running the mod on a single server to create a centralized community experience. My goal was to make it easy for everyone to jump in and play together, fostering a sense of shared experience. However, I'm definitely aware that relying solely on my server isn't a long-term solution. That's why I want to assure you that if I'm ever unable to maintain the server, I will release the server code and add an option for players to input their own server addresses. This will ensure the mod can continue to be enjoyed, even if my server goes offline.
While P2P connections are technically possible for a mod like this, the mod is currently designed around a cloud-based server architecture, which helps with certain features and stability. I do encourage anyone to take inspiration and make their own P2P multiplayer!
Your feedback is really valuable. It helps me think about the future of the mod and how to make it sustainable. I'm committed to keeping this project alive and enjoyable for everyone... :)
