    Please only start campaigns using the slow mode the mixed and fast are not supported. All versions of the mod are now working on UAD 1.6.1.5 Opt x4. This version of the game can be rolled back to via steam. Work on getting the mod updated for 1.7 is underway.

    As a note to myself and anyone else who wants to play the DIP mod but allow BB,BC,CA to have sonar :

    Edit the "comptypes" file.  In the 2.0 version this is located on line 34.

    Under the listing of "sonar" change the entry : "cl, dd, tb"     to     "bb, bc, ca, cl, dd, tb"

    I am playing a 1920 Great Britain campaign, and I want to comment on things I have noticed. Firstly, upgrading 14-inch guns from Mk2 to Mk3 shrinks them substantially, honestly, they look comically small on a 50,000-ton battleship and would not look out of place on a light cruiser. It makes me cautious about upgrading them in refit; they might work better, but they just look odd. I have noticed this with 15 and 16-inch guns, too. Also, destroyers seem useless, they get instantly overweight and have to be gimped to the point they become a waste of tonnage, it's better to build corvettes even though they are much slower. Light cruisers, on the other hand, seem very OP. 10x7.5 inch guns, 8x24 inch torpedoes, and plenty of armour. I have played up to 1930 without needing any ships in my fleet beyond battleships and light cruisers to escort them. I love the game, I have over 1000 hours in it, and I like the mod, some of the balancing seems off though, especially with destroyers, and the magic shrinking turrets are something that needs looking at.     Is there any way to play the non-"Great Game" version of the mod? I personally prefer to not have fantasy stuff like the Byzantines randomly showing up. I know there used to be a 'normal' version of the mod, but the Game-Labs forum for this mod is down and there doesn't appear to be any other mod page or download file for the original mod.

      Not at the moment because the devs introduced a game breaking bug right before they stopped development that means that anytime a minor nation invades another one the save dies. However once that is fixed there will be two other versions of the mod; a DIP Classic mode with no extra nations, and DIP Extended which is mostly historical, you can just play as the smaller nations

    As loading time with minors playable is extremly long plz add fast versions of vanilla countries with all content included . thx

      pleese remove some  minor nations as  potugal and scandinavia  loading time  of  1900 campaing is 1  hour on Ryzen 5500 RTX 4060 /
    Turns after 1910 are about 5  minutes each . impossible to play . thx

    With this mod, is there any reliable way to declare war/force a nation to declare war on you?
    The usual one only leads to said nation to accept the bad accord and reset the relations to about 0.

    This doesn't work. At all. MelonLoader won't see the mod even with following multiple guides to the letter.

      I was having the same issue till i pulled everything out of the main mods file and threw them into the mod folder.

    I'm having a bit of a problem, using steam v 1.7.0 Melon Loader 0.7.0. and the latest mod files available here.

    I'm trying to begin a 1940 campaign but the screen is stuck at "Loading World" and Melon Loader gives the following error:

      Hmmm I am not sure. Does it do this every time you start a campaign?
    2. I started a 1890 campaign, and it's generating and loading normally, the issue I think is with the 1940 campaign. 
    3. I left at 21:00 to grabs some drinks, returned at 23:39, same error, the screen stayed at "loading world"

    Hello, I've been using this mod for a while, playing Portugal and have gotten pretty far, but I noticed once I went to war with Britain, the population in the province of Portugal has started to decline, and dangerously rapidly, I had about 5.4 million people, and I got 4.2 million right now, and it's only happening in this province, I have positive GDP growth, low unrest, not blockaded or anything, is it a bug or an internal mod feature?

    They come up red anyway, any idea how to fix this?

    When I try to load a campaign I receive further error messages and can't load in.

    Playing game 1.7 mod 1.3
    Question - playing Japan and at war with Spain, why can't I invade any Spanish possession in the Pacific?
    The Philippines, a lot of other islands, etc...

      Do you have 100k Displacement in the Region?

      Should only be 25k required but yes you need a fleet in the correct sea region, which isn’t always obvious with the Pacific islands. Mouse over the province to find out the sea region it is attached to.
