Anyone else having issues spawning this in via planbuild now? I havent used much 'ValheimRAFT - Continued' or PlanBuild but I believe I'm doing it all right, following the guide etc, I can spawn it all in but the ship slowly crumbles piece by piece afterwards..
Looks very cool and I assume it just needs an update but do lmk if Im just doing it wrong!
    Cheers!

    EDIT:
had to enable AllowOldV1RaftRecipe option via ValheimRAFT config to place the blueprint/ship without it collapsing --> then used "vehicle upgradeShipToV2" command via console to stop it CTDing when walking on it etc (+ relog to make it float again) --> also had to add a new wheel + added a new rudder --> also chose to move the new hull piece inside the the hull to hide it
Seems to work though after these things :)

Was just about to reply that this currently isn't working as of the new update to ValheimRAFT continued but read your edit. I'm going to sticky this post and try the fix out myself.

      Thanks for posting this fix!

I haven’t played Valheim since Ashlands dropped and likely won’t until Deep North. I have no idea if this even works anymore and was having issues with it even when I was still playing. I may take another hard look at this when I have another reason to play, but for now you’re on your own. I’d suggest the Valheimraft nexus page as most of the issues I get here are related to Valheimraft anyway and this is literally just a ship shell to paste on top of one. I have no hand in making Valheimraft so my help is very limited. My videos are probably also outdated by now and I won’t be updating them at the moment, so please don’t message me about it not working.

I had to use tons of materials to build this and when I finally finished it I cant even interact with anything on the ship.. and there isn't a wheel ... yeah unless I get some help im gonna have to give up on this build. such a shame too would of loved this amazing build but nothing seems to work and directions arnt straight forward so if someones looking to do this build honestly dont waste your time

What mod allows you to place build pieces at an angle, to create the shape of the ship's underside? You know, the curvature of the figurehead's neck?

PreciseRotation is the mod you’re looking for. It’s a game changer

I FIXED THE CUSTOM SAILS! rename the folders all to "ValheimRAFT" instead of whatever they've been changed to.
also, you have to move the "Assets" folder up one more time so only one single 'ValheimRAFT" is in the file path!
    Example:

You might mean, that you figured out how to install it? Took me a while too. There would be need for fixing regarding the sail customisation. But that might be complicated.

The boat is no longer able to be used. The Precise mod that you need in order to place the boat is broken because of mistlands. Without that mod your boat sinks and breaks because its half way into the water. There is nothing to precisely snap onto so the boat can't be used at all. If you could find out a way to place this blueprint without using a outdated mod, that would be beneficial.

Hmm I have all the mods in the requirements installed and I have no issues with the RAFT mod with Mistlands. I even uploaded a walkthrough video not that long ago showing how to place the blueprint and showed it working in the water. The PreciseRotation mod shouldn’t have any effect on the raft other than rotating the build pieces. You also don’t actually need PreciseRotation to place the blueprint, just PlanBuild. If you’re using BuildShare then you’ll get similar behavior to what you explained when placing the blueprint because BuildShare isn’t compatible. Check your mod installs, it sounds like something isn’t installed correctly

I have the same issue. When I leave creative mode it falls into the water and half of the ship is under water.

Edit: Fixed the problem. Needed to adjust the axis before placing.

How did you adjust the axis? I'm having the same issue.

Thanks for the ship, it looks great. I just have one problem... I cannot for the life of me get it to show up on my runestone plans. I am not sure which of the files in the folder is the planbuild plan. Can someone help me please?

Download Serpent Blueprint and extract the Serpent.vbuild to your PlanBuild blueprints folder. Should be something like: Valheim/BepInEx/config/PlanBuild/blueprints

Thanks for that. I did finally get it to work and work perfectly, after I figured out that I can install mods in Nexus Vortex from files on my pc. sure makes it a lot easier. I also figured out that I do not need to install it on the server for it to work there either.

    @ianmcm89 These ships are awesome!

Unfortunately my 2080s averages 20 fps on them 🥶

Any thoughts on making a more "barebones" ship that looks as good as it can while also mostly being a hull with empty space?

    Cheers.

I'm currently working on a successor to my Njord ship, but I do have plans to build a small "mini ship" with just the base necessities after that. Maybe something with only a single mast or two instead of the frigate size ships I've been building. Also the ValheimRAFT mod, while great, is POORLY optimized so FPS will drop even with just the base raft and nothing on it. From what I understand, the mod author coded the raft to save all build pieces in a central point rather than spread out over a grid like normal builds on land (hence why the ship looks like a blob of build pieces before it loads). It's basically the equivalent of building a small shack, entering it and spawning 1000 boars inside which is sure to drop anyone's FPS. I don't know C++ and don't have permission to edit the ValheimRAFT mod though so likely won't see a fix for this unless the author finds a more optimized solution for saving raft builds

Also in the meantime you can whip out the old hammer and start demolishing non-essential build pieces on the Serpent to bare bones if you need to reduce the complexity

If I wanted to get those massive custom sails on a build of my own. How would I go about doing that? they aren't part of the base ValheimRaft mod are they?

Yes they're part of the latest ValheimRAFT update. There's a four corner sail and a triangle sail. They're transparent on one side for some reason though so you'll need to build two sails, a front and a back. Annoying, I know, but the author hasn't fixed this yet.
