Thanks for this mod it's exactly what I wanted (still working with the Ashlands update!)
Can I suggest you put "H" as the toggle key in the mod's description? i was confused until I came to this comment section to find someone else mentioning it :)
This mod conflicts with kailen37's first person view mod (it makes so their mod can't hide the hair/helmet, so you see clipping issues in first person), but otherwise it works fine.
Hide head works fine for me, as the Fenris Hood was clipping in first person view, but pressing H now just shows me without hair and I cannot actually show the helmet until I relog. Really annoying since I consider both mods mandatory.
Heya, when I toggle the helmet while wearing Root Mask, the hair volume acts as if a helmet was actually on top of my head, being all kind of squished to fit some of the helmets that allow hair, instead of looking normal, like if I did not have a helmet.
Thanks for making this, I was sad to login and invisihelm was broken! This mod never remembers my helmet choice though, I have to hit h to hide it every time I log in. Is there a way to get it to remember?
The update today (13 Feb 2023) made it an "incompatible version" for other people when they tried to join my world. I was using the mod fine in co-op until I updated.
I thought so too but none of the people I play with use this mod, I confirmed with them. I had been playing with them successfully for around 3 weeks using this mod until the update yesterday
They don't like to install mods so they probably won't go for that. But also like I mentioned, I've been playing with the same people for 3 weeks while I used the mod and they didn't. It worked until the update.
A friend and I spent an hour testing as I removed all my mods one by one until we found that it was this one that caused the "incompatible version" error message. In addition, I reinstalled the previous mod file, version 1.0.0, and the issue was fixed.
In the changelog I see that in version 1.0.1, version check was added. I have to assume that's what's causing the issue.
By the way, your mod kind of works in co-op, but also doesn't work.
When a player clicks hide helmet, all helmets, own and other players' helmets, are visually hidden. But for the other player, the helmets are not hidden. If another player also installs the mod and hides all helmets, it will work the same way.
P.S. If you hide helmets, after that a player enters the server, then his helmet will not be hidden. If you click on "hide helmets" again, then he will hide, and your helmet will return. out of sync
i am using the re-make version and it still works as expected in co-op. helmets are toggled individually and can be seen by other clients (iirc with a small delay tho), and the server 'remembers' your setting. idk how it would work if some players did not have the mod installed however

Did not try with other helmets.

Edit: OH! Nvm. Didn't know I had to toggle it with the H key. :)
