Confirmed that this mod causes serious boat-related problems in the Ashlands update. When approached by a BoneMaw serpent, it will begin an attack move and that will cause your boat (any kind of boat, even ValheimRAFT ships) to immediately sink to the sea floor. Other things I haven't pinned down yet also trigger this sudden ship sinking.

Additionally, your body will likely fall forever through the world at high speed yet you don't die. Reloading the game usually brings the ship and your body back to the surface, though not always. Sometimes your body will be entirely invisible and you can't move. It's a pretty big mess and my friends and I had to deal with this in our first attempt to reach the Ashlands. This can all be seen in a video I released yesterday:

The issue I saw is fixed in 0.3.2 of Venture Floating Items.

As of 0.3.1, Venture Floating Items still has the nails from your destroyed boat (and possibly other items, I don't know) still sink to the bottom of the ocean. Because it's on thunderstore, there seems to be no way to report this bug (edit, issue logged on their github). It's marked as having been updated for the Bog Witch Update, which is current, so not sure why this is happening.

To be fair to the modder this has happened on many mods which use the float Physics and we've all been through the wringer with that Bonemaw when your character get's anywhere near him land or sea.

    Hi!
I confirm the issue below. I will also add that during attacks on the bone mouth (New Snake), either textures fail or the world freezes (Neither you nor opponents can do anything). With the modes turned off, this does not happen.
I hope you understand me because I use a translator, sorry if anything is wrong.
But, if you still kill the snake (Zavislo - disconnected from the world - connected - shot - hung - repeat until you kill), all its objects really float on the water.

I hit a spire in the Ashlands sea and immediately sank to the bottom of the ocean and got stuck. Disabling this mod fixed it.

Updated more than 2 years ago, and still seems to work flawlessly.

Does it have to be in both the client and the server or can it just be on the server and still work?

Late response, but I use it client side on a dedicated server, and my friends do not. It works fine for me, even when they are around me.

I can confirm this mod is working on the Mistlands Public Test Build version 0.212.6

I can not confirm the functionality of Mistlands content, but I can verify that the mod works as intended for the content prior to visiting Mistlands

But, that's how I get rid of all my trash. Throw it out into the ocean.

There are some cool mods out there which offer even better ways to dispose of your unwanted items. I personally like Fireplace Item Destroy

      I prefer Discard Inventory Items?.

It will recycle your items returning up to 100% of the crafting materials used. Or 0% if you prefer.

There's also Simple Recycling which is a pretty good alternative too.

I second Discard Inventory Items as the preferred deletion / recycling option.
