**Updates** 12/2/2024 - Version 0.9.19 Released for compatibility with Bogwitch! Quick note: some users have started reporting their rotational joystick controls are reversed - we're unsure why this started happening, but a VHVR controls option was added to reverse this to fix for those who are affected.
Quick Performance Tip: In valheim_data folder, open boot.cfg in notepad and add: gfx-enable-gfx-jobs=1 gfx-enable-native-gfx-jobs=1
These settings enable some parallelization in sending commands to the GPU and shortens the CPU frame time some, resulting in higher FPS.
I can't seem to see the inventory nor pause menu in the vr, although on my monitor I can. Nor can I figure out how to do the quick actions either, but that's of less importance than seeing the actual inventory, y'know. Does anyone have this issue, or had, and knows how to fix it?
Hi! I'd like to let you know that the most recent patch of Valheim seem to have broken the UI in VHVR Crosshairs for where your VR controllers are pointing, as well as the menu screen are no longer visible.
Hi, i've been loving this mod, wanted to ask though, is there a specific way you're supposed to parry? Just feels really inconsistent rn so I wanted to know if im doing smthn wrong, also thank you so much for making this, its revived valheim for me lol
Also spears feel super buggy right now, I usually over-use em anyways so I'll use it as an excuse to focus more on bow for ranged and shield + whatever melee best fits the situation, but if you could lmk how I might be able to fix the spear, do let me know.
just realized there is a second hand option for spears (saw it in the valheim vr help document) so that should fix my problem, tho still, idk why the normal mode of spear throws feels so buggy
Hey, absolutely love this mod, huge hats off to you guys. only issue is randomly today booted up to play although when i get to the start menu its like its zoomed in and i cant click play as its off my clickable screen? is this due to the tiny update today? thanks !
Hey, just wanted to start by saying that this mod is amazing, by FAR the best way to experience Valheim, and the way that you can play with Non VR players is perfect.
I've been playing VHVR for quite some time now, but have always suffered with what seems like stuttering and frequent frame drops. This seems to happen in all areas equally, even in the main menu area. I have a 7800xt, 32gb DDR5 ram, and don't get issues like this on other games.
Is there anything I may be doing to cause this? I usually play on the Balanced graphics pre-set with SAA and God rays off, but the issue persists. Anyone with any experience of this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
For anybody else who comes here trying to get this to work, I've managed to get this mod working on Linux. I use Valve Index. Here was my process: 1. Install r2modman, use it to create a profile with BepInEx. Actually maybe do this after ensuring you're running the game for proton instead of native since r2modman gets confused if you switch while r2modman is open. Or just close and reopen r2modman. 2. Install the game but force it to use Proton Experimental for compatibility instead of running the native Linux build. Ensure you have no launch parameters set for the game in steam, leave it blank. 3. Download this mod and extract the zip file. Take the BepInEx folder and all subfolders including the plugin dll and repackage it with the folder structure it already had, then import it using r2modman's "Import Local Mod" feature. 4. Manually install everything in the "Valheim_Data" folder to your game's "valheim_Data" folder, overwriting as necessary. 5. Set your launch parameters in r2modman to something like below. I use this string for a couple BepInEx games on Linux with r2modman.PROTON_WAIT_ATTACH=1 PROTON_NO_FSYNC=1 PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 WINEDLLOVERRIDES="winhttp.dll,0Harmony.dll,0Harmony20.dll,BepInEx.dll,BepInEx.Harmony.dll,BepInEx.Preloader.dll,HarmonyXInterop.dllMono.Cecil.dll,Mono.Cecil.Mdb.dll,Mono.Cecil.Pdb.dll,Mono.Cecil.Rocks.dll,MonoMod.RuntimeDetour.dll,MonoMod.Utils.dll=n,b" %command% 6. Launch the game modded through r2modman.
You rock, thank you. Are any of the numbers of the file the Valheim version / Build ID? I'd like to revert to previous updates of Valheim because I cannot play this without the VR now haha
No they don't have any relationship, but it's good feedback. I'll include that as part of the comments for the build and probably a readme file in the mod zip to say which version of Valheim it was built for going forward.

Select none when the new update will be released.
