Works perfect as intended if you start a new game.(Gog Version)
Regarding the CLAWS, not OP at all if you are not an idiot who keeps upgrading them to level 5, no need. leave them alone as they do 220 damage with no stamina cost and no speed penalty, they will get your through the ENTIRE GAME and you WILL enjoy it. Instead use the parts and ingredients needed for making the potions to cure the town folk, or sell them for cash as the demand for cure rise with each time you sleep.
Play on hard to mitigate the damage you give as well as receive, i got wasted plenty times even with the claws weapon.
Don't kill any of the story characters and try to get through the game just on the exp provided from killing the enemies, it will limit your rise to power and balance out the new gifts from this mod.
Don't invest in the "super powers" , instead just bump up your health, stamina for dodging ....and healing, bite damage and blood absorption skills, perhaps mist/invisibility and spring/smash, all you need.
So stop complaining and just use the claws as they are, fantastic mod btw....always wanted to be a vampire without resorting to melee weapons instead of vampiric speed and power and this mod makes you feel like a real vampire and not a glorified "THIN BLOOD" who has to run with a sword or a hammer.
Trust me, this mod makes the game a lot more enjoyable, its not overpowered unless you make it so.
Thanks OP, but the weapons in this mod are unfortunately far too powerful. I would be interested in trying something more reasonable, along the lines of pre-nerf True Dragonbane for instance, though!
I would love to use this mod, however, it is too overpowered. I want to use it. After all, I like the idea of using the claws as my main weapon because I use the eviscerator claw build, and have very little need for a melee weapon. So having an extra skill like bloodspear would be fun. However, instead of just being the claw skill in weapon form, it has all these extra abilities tacked on and it ends up dealing way too much damage. Even worse, the ultimate skill cooldown has been reduced to 15 seconds. I just came off of beating the game on a no-citizen kill run, which, with this eviscerator build, wasn't all that difficult—ended the game at level 30. I wanted to do a second run as a sudo new game plus, so I used a cheat engine table to give myself just enough exp to grant me the exact skills I ended my previous game plus the 1005 unspent Exp I had before finishing. Meaning, that I am already starting my second playthrough with a huge advantage, this mod adds too much; I don't need to be thisOP. :( I doubt the creator is coming back, but, if he does, I would sincerely appreciate a few variations to this mod. Perhaps giving weapon stats that closer represent the default weapons, with perhaps a very slight edge in one direction or another. For the claws, have them cost the same amount of stamina as the lowest stamina weapon in the game, however, give them some kind of a cost. Remove the extra abilities the claws have, perhaps give them only the abilities from both optional trees, and then perhaps reduce their damage by half. 700 damage is how much one of the trees gives claws, however, because they cost 0 blood, I'd say balance it by reducing its damage or significantly increasing the stamina cost. As for ability cooldowns, it would be best to make that a completely separate mod.
I'd love this too! This is a great mod, but the claws and other items are just too OP. If anyone knows how to edit these files ourselves, please leave some instructions for us in the comments.
A really cool mod that, so far into a new playthrough, is pretty great! I wouldn't recommend this for new players as some of the weapons make combat easier than they were intended to be. However, if you use this on a second or third playthrough, it's tons of fun. Love the katana; even at level 1 it's a good choice!
Level 5 one-handed weapons do 400-500 damage on level 5, Claw weapon does 700 damage on level 5 and all of those weapons are so overpowered that it brakes the game. But still if you want to have normal game experience just upgrade weapons to level 4,don't upgrade to level 5
