    I cannot get the packed files to install without the game crashing on startup. Is the mod not compatible with patch 7?

    hey man I've only ever modded arma and I'm lost in the sauce on a different planet with this mod stuff can you walk me through what i need to do?

      Check the screenshot sections of my Blood Raven or Imperial Fists total conversions. There should be an image that shows how installing these basically works. Simply a matter of opening the pak file with WinRar, dragging my folders inside, and the dragging that pak folder onto pakcacher.

    Hi, I've been trying to do this for a few hours now and am convinced i'm just dumb. I don't often mod games, but this is really cool and I really want to get it to work. I have the Astartes mod, so I followed the instructions to merge. 
    [-go to "Space Marine 2\client_pc\root\paks\client\default" and open up default_pct_0.pak with WinRar
    -drag the pct folder inside
    -delete the cache file for default_pct_0.pak]
    Then I did the next steps for the chapter colors on bots. Loaded the game up, texture errors. Went back to make sure I deleted the cache file for default_pct_0.pak like instructed in the "update" portion. Run again, texture errors. Ok, maybe I'm missing something, try to download the "Packed" version to see what happens, game crashes. I truly just don't understand what I'm doing wrong. I'm not the most tech savvy person, so if someone could break down the steps to me like i'm 5, that would be awesome. Thanks guys.

    Edit: I got the IF pack to work, so I'm going to try and just do the same thing I did with that one

      Make sure you're also using the OnlineFix found in the Astartes discord. This is something I recently had to help someone with. Apparently, it's required for the game to read modded pak files whereas before you could play without it, but you'd just have to play offline.

    None of my bots use the Mark 5 helmet, as shown in the images. I have the Astartes mod installed, but when I use it with this mod, all the extra armor pieces that the Astartes mod adds are unavailable. I followed the steps in the description, opening the SSL folder, but still nothing. The Astartes retributory shoulder decal for the heavy and the sniper override the Space Wolf shoulder decal. Is there any way to fix this?

      If you aren't seeing the extra armor pieces from Astartes, that means that you also merged character_customization_library.sso of my mod when it should just be global_armor_color_pattern_library.ssoarmor_color_library.sso, and customization_decal_library.sso. Unless there's a backup, you'll have to reinstall Astartes again and only move those three files.

      And since Astartes has added new decals for other chapters by mixing it in with current ones, I'll have to check what exactly has been changed and modified.

      Thanks so much that worked! the new armor pieces are available, only issue I could find was that the mark 8 helm doesn't have the Astarte's pattern when you set the color pattern to half, you also cant change the eye color on the mark 8

      Glad to hear it works! As far as the mk.8 goes, I believe that's intentional with the most recent Astartes update. They settled with the green lens and opted to wait for the next official update to allow for colorable lenses. The mk.8s you see in my screenshots use the files that came with an older version of kitbash.

    Interested in simply what was done to make the Bots wear helmets during Operations. Going to investigate your loose files, but any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

      The file you'll want to check out is character_customization_library.sso located inside "ssl\body\customization" of default_other.pak. The bots draw from the the very first preset of their respective class, so whatever armor piece they have under their PREDEFINED_PRESET_1 is what they'll use ingame. Mix and match as much as you'd like! However, you can't make a Tank use Tactical helmets etc. It has to be pieces specifically for that class.
