Works fine if you rename it to a slot that you don't already have a save in.
I literally just did it 30 seconds ago lol. Changed them to 5_AutoSave.gksave and 5_Slot1.gksave because I already had 0-4.
Well, who knows if it'll flub it later. But it sounds like you guys are trying to replace the first slot where already have a save... and I have a feeling you're using steam cloud saving and there is definitely a conflict between the First Slot save you had before and the First Slot save you have now.
I had all but given up on even attempting a simple work around like that lol the CT has been updated to cover all that you would need the main appeal for the saves would be probably the DLC character, but you ain't missing much there regardless I'm puting this as the new sticky and changing the notes to your work around If they ever drop DLC for the game, I'll update the save files too.
I may be dumb, I am reading many comments in hopes to answer my question, but no luck. So what does this mod even do? I dont see what it says in the description.
The saves are outdated and I have no interest in updating them right now, use the links to the Tables and Trainers to edit your own game instead, I'll come back to this when the game no longer has updates and all the DLC are out.
No the game saves don't work anymore. Not only are they out of date but there's been in update wherein game saves are tied to your Steam ID. Meaning you cannot share game saves AT ALL. Unfortunate I know. And for those who know about Zanzer's Cheat Table, that too is out of date, and some scripts don't work anymore because of said, out of "dateness." Some scripts DO still work but the ones that let you get all the goodies (i.e. items) do not work. Which is pretty much what everybody including me would like. Nevertheless, I'm thankful for the modding communities efforts in this whole endeavor and thankfully the trainers stay up to date. Which is nice all things considering.
Unfortunately no, you can't edit the outcomes of events because they're always randomly generated. try reloading to a previous state (maybe one day before the prompt) and see if you can get the outcome you prefer, but I wouldn't worry about it too much, you get the hybrid classes as rewards later on.
Thanks for your confirmation. My Justica was heavily invested wtih x2 augmentation bonus, 3 arm augmenations, 2 resislient bonus after critically wounded (very rare to prompt), and I'm already deep down many missions to turn back. :(
It's legendary run and 2 bonus resilient is invaluable random bonus.
Based on the information that I have read, the outcome already decided when we are prompted to choose taking the Paladin quest, yet we have to wait 45 days until getting the result which is very bs.
Yeah, there's a toggle option to activate the DLC on saves you've already made progress on bad news is that the tables/trainers might need updating (best to reach out to the authors)
hmm...it's weird. cuz when I tried to load these save files, it says "Unable to load: save files cannot be shared across different platforms(i.es steam to epic or vice-versa) or by different account IDs. I am so sorry but I don't think it's compatible. :(
Ah, I see what you mean, since my saves were made via steam then for sure they probably wont be compatible with Epic users (though most games aren't this picky) the other issue is that if you have steam's cloud sync enabled, it will sometimes check if your save matches the one on your computer if they don't match, then this results in an error, I always have that option turned off.
Last resort, just use the tools at hand, my saves will eventually be outdated. so just take what you know/learn and apply it to your own who knows how many DLC/Updates we're gonna get for this title, but just make backups of your own to save yourself a headache. ($14.99 for 2 new classes and missions specifically for them? I think I'll wait lol)
Needs to be updated to the latest build, tried using but got the cannot migrate saves from different ID's message and used the workaround on it too, still no joy
You're better off applying changes to your own saves, you'll be able to do much more with the resources I wont bother updating my old saves if there isn't any new content/DLC to begin with.

So just make it in an empty slot.
Notice the "Date Modified" for Slot 5. That's your mod.
