The mod's design seems super cool. I really like how the mod is focused on the 1st tier of archetypes, specifically, it feels a lot more thought out and balanced. Hopefully this mod is expanded to cover the DLC archetypes when the last DLC come out.
Ok, I ran the text through a dodgy chatGPT translation and added it to the file as version 1.0.1, If any of the translations are ridiculous 1) send me what it means in english so I can laugh too, and b) suggest a less funny but more useful version.
You can make on until I get around to it. Go into the mod folder and then into the localization folder and take the file called enGB.json. open the file and paste the contents into chatgpt and tell it to translate it. Usually when I do that the formatting is preserbed but the text gets switched over. Take the output and make it a file called znCN.json and put it into the localization folder.
FWIW you can use this technique with any mod, and any language, you just need to check what the file name is fir your language.
There was an error in the Overhead Smash fighter talent - I had probably started with a copy of one of the flamer/melta talents because I had it checking that the weapon wielded was two handed and melta, which obviously it never is. Anyway, I deleted the extra condition so it works now. Also cleaned up the wording. I must have been tired when I made that one.
Regarding my thoughts about Debuffs, Operative etc. There are 2 inquiries that I have:
1. Regarding the "Marked Target" talent ... is 1 Exploit really enough? I've been thinking that INT xor PER / 2(or 3) Exploits would be more comfortable and useful. What do you think?
2. I actually don't need more debuffs in T2(there is always the BH arch, awesome thing!), but would you be willing to take a look at a possibility of adding just one more feat that relates to Exploits to Operative? Don't think more is needed tbh.
does this work on the newer patches? keeps showing up that it needs game version 2.1.0
For reference i am running it in desktop mode on the steam deck and have to install my mods manually. tried adding to the game to OwlcatModificationManagerSettings.json but none of the other mods needed it nor have been put in. see screenshot here https://imgur.com/WogmSf3
thank you to anyone who takes their time out to help :)
Several things. First the screen you've captured is the Unity Mod Manager which is built into the game, but there is another mod manager as well, which can be found on the loading screen in the lower left - it says like DLCs and Mods. This is because there are two kinds of RT mods, Unity mods and Owlmods. The differences are technical but what you need to know is that a) they go in different folders and b) owlmods have configuration and Unity mods don't.
So, in this case, the mod you're looking for, Enhanced Archetypes, is an owlmod. It won't be on the page you've shared. Fwiw, I don't know what the Enhanced Content mod is. Is it a pathfinder mod? RT is only on game version 1.3, so it's possibly not in the right place.
Anyway, I'm not familiar with how a steamdeck works, but in windows you put unity mods in the UnityModManager folder and Owlmods go in the Modifications folder. Unity handles the manifest for itself, but over on teh owlmod side you need to take care of it. If steamdeck can run Modfinder it will take the load off of you, but otherwise you need to update the config file as detailed in the description.
Like I said, I'm a little out of my league advising on steamdeck, but you could try the Owlcat Discord, the modding channels there are very helpful for users and developers alike.
i see it now in the owlmod manager after putting it into that folder! i'm assuming all jh-xXx mods are like this then? for the steam deck, the hard part is getting modfinder to both see and edit the files in the pfx folder, so i had to add it manually.
Love the new features, especially for Soldier and Warrior. You did a great job with these. Any chance you might do the advanced archetypes at some point?
Almost certainly I will look at them eventually, unless someone else decides to first. At the moment though I feel like broader tier 1 types give the most in terms of launching new build options.
A Crime Lord OP can go for a Debuff build, but in such a case, he don't have a clear second(advanced) Archetype to choose. So, if you could touch up that side? Make CL OP debuff possible(without turning into a gimmick).
Also, any thoughts about Origins? And what if I have Be Smart and I take Audacity? Does that mean I substitute INT for AGI?
Audacity and Be Smart probably work together because they are doing different things. Be Smart is swapping a stat completely while Audacity works against the dodge calculation. Be Smart and another base stat substitute talent do not work together though.

I already installed MicroPatches and it still doesn't work
Is there a way to modify the file so that the text appears in English.
Man, you're a genius (it's a Latin expression that means you're great)

For anyone else on a steam deck, the location is
/home/deck/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/2186680/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/LocalLow/Owlcat Games/Warhammer 40000 Rogue Trader
even if you have it installed on another drive.
