Download the file
Find the Modification folder in \AppData\LocalLow\Owlcat Games\Warhammer 40000 Rogue Trader\Modifications\
Extract or paste the file into the Modification folder
Add the folder name to the \AppData\LocalLow\Owlcat Games\Warhammer 40000 Rogue Trader\OwlcatModificationManagerSettins.json file; it should look like this: "EnabledModifications": ["HomeworldsOfTheExpanse"], "ActiveModifications": ["HomeworldsOfTheExpanse"],
Start a new game or create a new Companion in an existing save

NOTES: this is a OwlcatModManager mod and requires MicroPatches to load properly.
With this mod I tried to expand the list of selectable Homeworlds with lore-friendly and balanced (?) options. I researched the original Rogue Trader manuals, transposing, if not the Talents and stats, at least the mood and themes from the original pen-and-paper RPG.
Like the 6 vanilla options, each of the 6 new Homeworlds has an Innate Feat and a selection of 5 Talents built around the main theme, whether for gameplay or roleplay. New Homeworlds may be added in the future.
Homeworlds
Frontier World - exotic weapons, interactions with xenos, guns
Feral World - strength, primitive weapons, berserker-like playstyle
Penal World - be mean, do crime
Shrine World - stacks of burning, grenades, extra damage against the heretics
Agri-World - toughness, incremental bonus
Tainted World - perils of the warp, scaling on heretical ranks
Compatibility Fully compatible with PlayableX, except for the Navigator Origin. The quirks of OMM and UMM will create visual duplicates in the Homeworld selection [fixed in 1.1.1 using MicroPatches 1.17.1+]
