Just a heads up that the "constant rain" is a intentional setup to represent the E3 2014 demo. If I remember what I did to change the weather, I'll upload a version with normal weather loop. Also, for those complaining about having a "bug" with their weapon inventory, it's not a bug! Living City setup a limited inventory space for immersion which can be disable through the Living City config file.
EDIT 4/8/2020: Thanks to JohnKing48, a new merge has been added that contains Aiden's original face and a normal weather cycle again. Choose either mine or his merge. Go nuts.
EDIT 4/26/2020: Updated both JohnKing48 and my merge. Go see the change-log for update details.
Hey, just started a new playthrough of WD with this mod only, looks great so far but is there a way to get the "vanilla" Aidan face back? I'm not sure if something's wrong but my Aiden looks hella weird, would love to revert this to vanilla face if possible?
Aiden is supposed to look like that as it is replicating the face that was shown at E3 but you can revert back by unpacking the patch files by using disrupt tools and going to patch/graphics/characters/char/char1 and delete the xbt files that are related to head and the facial _definition.dpdx otherwise Aiden would have his tongue sticking out(from my experience) or the whole char1 folder
It's possible to reduce the DoF? Or at least to make it less "aggressive"? I like the feature, but the distance at which the effect is triggered is WAY too short, it blurs things way to fast and close that it makes it a problem to just walk, on car is fine tho
I just merge files, not altered them. The cameracontext.lib is the source. You either remove that or replace it with other mods that affects DOF. You're on your own in how to deal with all of this.
(For this method, you will need either winrar to open files, or 7zip, as these files are packed for the engine to easily access the library of information in them, hence the .lib naming) :D If you open the .lib file mentioned by John, there should be files there that you can open and read via notepad. (I don't have this downloaded right now unfortunately) If you search through the library, there should be an editable file. (sometimes notepad pulls up jumbled code that isn't actually editable unless you know how to read it) Once you found it, search for the terms "Depth" "DOF" or "Field" until you find a line that says something along the lines of depthoffieldstrength, or depthoffieldmultiplier, and set the values to 0. If they have any decimal values, or a setting of 2, you can try setting different numbers lower than their current value to lessen the intensity. As for the distance, unless there's a value for depthoffieldrange, or depthoffieldlength, (not exact examples but close) then unfortunately the strength value is also either going to be how far the depth of field goes, or it'll be connected to your LoD.
Edit: OH!! Almost forgot, once your done editing the files, you have to repack them. Most of the time when you open these files with something like winrar, there should be a button up top for repacking. I'm a scrub and use 7zip, which will ask if you want to "archive" the file, which is repacking. DON'T FORGET TO DO THIS. Otherwise it won't save.
Hi, I just setup the mod and everything looks great, the only thing that bothered me was the lack of clouds. Could you tell me if there's a fix for this since there was another post about the clouds problem.
So I chose JohnKing mod. I went and purchased the silenced spec op 1911, and made sure I had it in my weapon wheel. Then, I go and do a mission, excited to play through it stealthily.. but what the f*#@ - my silenced spec op 1911 is GONE. DISAPPEARED. Of course I die, fail the mission, and when I spawn, I have the silenced spec op 1911 back again. What the f*#@ is this s#*!? Trying to play a joke on me or what? What fucking s#*! mod dude.
