ManageLegion doesn't install mods (you don't get "Process finished successfully" message, stuck on timer, etc.)
- Most likely your game files are read-only. Remove this attribute or run ManageLegion as an administrator. Also, don't use ManageLegion and DisruptManager (for WDL) together, choose one or it may cause problems. If you still have issues with ManageLegion or DisruptManager, write about them to the author on Github, not to me.
Characters disappear! (the most common one, I guess)
- About the offline mode is written in large letters. Yes, you need to always be in offline mode. If you accidentally go online... The only guaranteed way to get the characters again is to start a new save. There is no other way. Well, of course you can try something written earlier in the comments, but I make no guarantees that it will work, and don't complain if you have no luck. If you bought the game in Steam, you still need to switch UbisoftConnect to offline.
About the separate versions of the mod (separately for each character, separate character packs, etc.)
- There will not be such versions. Unnecessary operatives can be kicked out, and I see no reason to make separate mods.
Fired operatives come back
- Sometimes it might happen, and I don't know why. If it's a big problem for you, disable the mod in the mod manager (disabling the mod will not remove operatives from the team). But if you want to start a new save in the future, you will have to enable the mod again.
About Darcy and her assassin outfit
- Yes, if you change her assassin outfit, it's gone. To wear it again, use this mod. Keep in mind that the buying option will only open after completing all the assassin-related quests (you can "thank" Ubisoft for that).
If you want to install a mod that contains a similar file used in Prestige Operatives (for example, if both mods contain items.lib)
- First install Prestige Operatives, load the game and get the characters. Then close the game, disable this mod in the manager and install the mod you wanted. You need to do it in that order, not vice versa. I think this is obvious, but just in case: the contents of the archives of mods can be viewed here on Nexus, or on PC by any archiver.
I don't know if this has happened to anyone, but whenever I launch the game through the Distrupt Manager, it just freezes. Only the game poster pops up, and then nothing. How can I fix this?
I wanted to change the costume for the assassin, but then it disappeared and was nowhere to be found. I tried to find it in the store but there are only repainted ones. What should I do? Do the DLC now?
I don't think the mod will work until ubisoft add back offline mode to their launcher. If I'm wrong please tell me the solution that will actually work.
Try this. But before you do that, you need to run WDL in online at least once (to activate the game). Also, if you want to play any Ubisoft games online, you will need to disable this rule
I don't know how to keep this mod any more. That was the video I went by. I put the same exception into my firewall. Ubisoft starts with "We seem to be experiencing issues with your network connection. Please try again." So thinking it was offline and with no way to access the library section, I right-clicked the Ubisoft logo and started WDL and wiped my Prestige operatives again. I imagine the endless replies similar to this must be frustrating for the mod author. I have been deleting saves every 30 minutes and restarting. Nothing keeps them when I have to start U.C. again. Ubisoft ruined it.
When you start the game in offline mode, then in the menu pops up a box saying that it fails to connect to the servers (I don't remember the exact text). If it's not, then the game is running in standard mode (connected to the network). So, if you run the game and did not see this box in the menu, you do not have to load your save (so that the operatives are not lost) and you need to try to solve the problem. What if you try to block the game from accessing the internet? As in the video above, but for the game itself (no need to disable the rule for the launcher)
The problem is the sometimes Ubisoft splash screen that won't let us access the games library because it says the network connection try again thing (then rightclick Ubi logo and playing game is a dangerous Prestige Operatives destroying mistake).
I found a combined solution \o/ What that video says, to open Windows Defender Firewall with Advanced Security. Outbound Rules, New Rule, Custom, Program Path, UPlayWebCore.exe Block the connection. Name it "Ubisoft Offline". IF Ubisoft Connect says "Client is offline. Please check your network connection and restart the client to enable online functionalities" and you see your games library with WDL then you're good to go. IF Ubisoft Connect has that different splash screen "We seem to be experiencing issues with your network connection. Please try again" completely blocking access to the games library, DO NOT RIGHTCLICK THE LOGO TO PLAY WDL. Instead open Windows Defender Firewall with Advanced Security, click Outbound Rules, click Ubisoft Offline, Disable Rule before "Retry" on Ubisoft Splash screen. As soon as the games library shows up, "Enable Rule". Then that perfect sight we wanted to see shows up again. Access to games library and "Client is offline. Please check your network connection and restart the client to enable online functionalities." Only click play from games library. No rightclick logo.
Yeah, I know, but if you start the game from the game folder, then you wouldn't need access to the library in the launcher (when the launcher is offline), right?
Right, but same as rightclick and starting the game and then game starts online. (But only when U.C. launcher says "We seem to be experiencing issues with your network connection. Please try again") Prestiges disappear. The thing changed where I can't choose to stay offline in the launcher itself.
In the description of the mod, where you mention that launching the game in online mode will cause characters to dissappear, please edit it to specify that the charcaters dissappearing is permanent. I thought that it meant they would return when I launched the game in offline mode again, so i launched it while connected, and lost an ideal save. Please specify that the dissappearance of the characters is permanent so others do not make such a mistake.
Of course this is permanent, because nowhere does it say “they will come back if you go to offline mode again”, and the pinned post further clarifies that there is no guaranteed way to get them back except starting a new game
Oh, I didn't realize that the words "The only guaranteed way to get the characters again is to start a new save. There is no other way." weren't obvious enough.
BS tbh. Installed the mod, it worked fine. Tried playing again today, the operatives are gone. Tried installing the mod again, made no difference. NEVER WENT ONLINE because the ports are all blocked.
This tutorial no longer works. You cant get Ubi launcher offline. It just creates a backup file and runs it online regardless. If anyone finds a way let me know. Until then I dont think this mod will work anymore
bro why dont u tell us they dissapear when u close the game, i aint even online and its gone g i went back in and theres no aiden or wrench ts is some bs mod
“why dont u tell us they dissapear when u close the game” - maybe because they don't, and they disappear ONLY if the game has online access? At the time this mod was released, you could easily switch to offline mode in the UbisoftConnect's settings, but then Ubisoft screwed up their launcher. So you can get confused and change your account status to offline, but it's not the offline mode of the launcher itself. Now, to switch the Launcher to offline mode, you need additional steps (there is a video about it a few posts below, but I didn't try it, as I don't have the possibility to test it at the moment).
As the description says, this mod only adds characters, not their outfits. For outfits you need to use another mod (link to which is given in the description)
Hey, what's up? Been modding for years now - Bethesda, EA, Ubisoft, NMS, Horizon Zero Dawn, etc. Apart from bethesda, modding this game is difficult.
For some reason Disrupt Manager only seems to work from the Downloads directory part of Windows 11, no where else. Not from the Legion folder or directory, not my game drive (D:) and not in Documents. Weird!!!
The Disrupt Github page and the Github Download itself, Do Not Have any install instructions no matter what the creator says. Even this mods iffy Disrupt install instructions have never worked anywhere near the SteamApps/Legion directory. The 1 Youtube video for Disrupt doesn't explain properly and leads to dead ends.
I just thought that I'd put this here to see if there is answers out there as I don't want to run things from my Downloads. Cheers- John.
Edit - Johnie's being blind. When setting up disrupt you havo to choose the game directory of watch datch dogs legion, you akso need to tick the box of whatever WD that you wish to play in Disrupts Manager, it's not intuive to choose the box the around the tick in Disrupt but that's what you need to do. Hopefully.
