The modification revamps the alchemy system in The Witcher:

- Standard quality vodkas are no longer a base for potions.
- The White Gull Potion replaces high quality alcohol in all the recipes.
- The dog tallow is a standard quality base for blade coatings.
- Blade coating bases and bomb making bases are divided into 3 categories now.
- The changes are not indicated in the journal but in the descriptions of the items.
- The modifications raise the difficulty level, because you will have to choose carefully what bases to buy,you will have less money and it will not be possible to run around with tens of potions in the inventory.

The modification is compatible with the FCR mod and earlier save-games, though it is highly recommended to start the game from the beginning.
As far as the descriptions of bases are concerned, the changes are visible in all the localized versions of The Witcher except Chinese.
