    Useless mod. You can already do that. I'm looking for a solution to rebind F5 and F9 to F1 and F4...

      To change supposedly unbind-able buttons like those, goto Documents\Witcher 2\Config and open User.ini with notepad (or any other simple text editor).
      Look for these lines:
      IK_F5=(Gamekey=GI_F5,Value=1.000000)
      IK_F9=(Gamekey=GI_F9,Value=1.000000)
      Change those to IK_F1 and IK_F4 (or whatever key you want for the quicksave & quickload).

      Oh, and be sure that the user.ini file is not set to "read only", so that you can save the changed keys.

      PS: I know i'm late (and i'm sorry for not being able to help when you needed it), but still posting this in case someone else comes here looking for this answer.

    virustotal.com detects this as a virus with the 'endgame' scanner

    Yep he's right. If you need to change the controls just open the main menu outside the game. Go to options, then input settings. You can change the controls there. Missed that the first time myself :) "I'm also one who hates those wasd default keys" Why they don't have the keymapping menu inside the game we may never know :P

    I downloaded this and ran the exe file. It just showed me blank values for each field which I could fill, I know. But why would I? Its exactly the same as the built in control utility!! I downloaded this because I thought I could map journal, character etc. to different keys that the build in configurator does not allow. But in this tool also, they were fixed. What am I missing?

    And, again, appreciation for working on modding to the modder!!

    Hey, I've been looking for a mod to add more configureabilty to the gamepad. I was wondering since you mentioned in your description, if you were indeed interested in tweaking the gamepad controls?

    i love the idea here, and normally i give modders the benifit of the doubt, cause i know they put in a lot of time and effort to provide the community with a better gaming experience. honestly though pics, install instruction and a good discription are all really nice things to have before i dowload a mod... i do thank you for you work regarding this mod.

    regarding the mod its self. i cannot get it to install. i'm being told i'm missing a file "MSCOMCTL.OCX". if anyone can help??? thank you.

    That description is useless. This could be exactly what I'm looking for, it could be worthless or harmful. In any case I have no idea how to use it or even how to install the thing. Why would you go to all the effort of creating something like this and posting it publicly and then not share the information required to use it?

    I've put the extracted, run/setup file in the bin\config folder and left the original Input.QWERTY.ini file there unchanged. And it worked as promised with one exception. Although I changed the movement keys to Up, Down, Left, Right arrow keys, in the game it doesn't work so I still stuck with the WSAD controls which I hate.

    Apart from this it is an elegant, very nice solution. Thank you for your work and I certainly endorse it.
