I noticed someone else had the same problem of Rotfiends not dropping loot, and one reply was that you must read books on them - but I have found the problem in your scripts\game\npc\states\dead file, which when removed no longer stops Rotfiends from dropping loot. But if I try editing it, the Rotfiend entries therein, the game launcher tells me there is problems with the script I know little about - but that: Removing the file completely - without worrying about what I am losing doing so - fixes the problem of Rotfiends not dropping loot.

I am posting this in the hope that the author, who knows a hell of a lot more about it than I do, can fix it so that we don't lose that file, which may or may not cause problems if we discard it for that hotfix.

Just a heads up to the author, notifying the problem so that it may get fixed. My thanks in advance.

Great mod, can't play without this. But the problem is it's incompatible with almost every other mod I would like to use. Does anyone know any good QOL/gameplay mods working with MWR? Some hud, camera and poker mods would be great. And what about CEO? Would you recommend it with this mod (if it even works?)

Well there is Dynamic HUD that makes your HUD invisible while you're out of combat, but you can see it if you press CTRL. But you've gotta pick right version, some of them are working incorrect.
      Link - https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher2/mods/276
Enhanced Camera - it totally changes perception of the game, I cannot play without it. Now it feels like some modern AAA game. Highly recommended - https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher2/mods/724
By the way, i was playing with Enhanced Camera just yesterday. It works fine with Master Witcher Redux.
Witcher 3 Icons - replaces some icons with ones that were in the Witcher 3 - https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher2/mods/783
Rune Renewal - better runes. It simple, but great and compatible - https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher2/mods/764
Hiuuz's The Witcher III shaved Geralt for The Witcher 2 - Geralt's face from the Witcher 3 - https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher2/mods/919
Classic Dice Set - replaces the new dice and dice set with the ones were in the Witcher 1 - https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher2/mods/7
If you know how to merge mods with Gibbed Red Tool I recommend this one - Medallion Cooldown Reduced https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher2/mods/722 - you have to merge it with Enhanced Camera sinse they both modify base_scrtipts file.
You could try out CEO, it doesn't modify base_scripts so you can install it, but I don't know about the balance. It may be too hard or too easy, you have to check it out. But I highly recommend to use all these mods above, it makes perfect witcher 2 expierence.

No. Mersey is overwrite mod. This is Cook mod.
It will overwrite Mersey when ever there is a conflict

I would like not to have the Dark items in a playthrough that has not chosen the Dark difficulty. Could you tell me how I would go about doing that?

Anyone know how to get rid of the freezes I've seen a few people mention? Seems to happen when entering menus or leaving as well as cut scenes.

Thank you for the mod! I was wondering which scripts/components in particular govern the feature that Geralt always has his mounted sword equipped and not the cutscene sword? I unpacked the dzip and found some functions in the player.ws and in the scene/cutscene related scripts, but on their own, they do not seem to do the trick? Does anyone know?

Btw for the people using the enhanced master witcher redux camera mod with Master witcher redux patch 1.5.1, you'll need to merge the two mods together for it to work since the enhanced camera mod hasnt been updated for that patch yet.

Now i have already merged it successfully and tbh it was a lot easier/less demanding than i thought it would be, yet a little bit demanding nonetheless. So I'll see if i cant ask the author of enhanced mwr camera to host my merge on his page to save you guys the pain of doing it yourselves.

Otherwise if it's not up by the time you read this ill just explain to u what i did here:

Problem: mwr(master witcher redux) patches over the scripts.dzip file of the vanilla game, enhanced mwr camera mod patches directly over that to keep the changes that were made while adding the ability to change the camera around. Since our base mwr mod is nonaffiliated with the camera mod, when the mwr 1.5.1 patch dropped it inadvertently patched over the changes the enhanced mwr camera mod had made.

Solution: we'll need to manually go inside the mwr patch and apply the changes emwrc had made touching only the lines of code that we are interested in.

Step 1: get Gibbed red tools.
Step 2: download both the mwr 1.5.1 patch and enhaced mwr camera mod.
Step 3: you'll have to unpack both the scripts.dzip files from the two mods into two separate folders.
Step 4: appropriately name each of the folders according to its origin, so "bettercamera" for the camera mod and "mwrpatch1.5.1" for the 1.5.1 patch.
Step 5: it will help to copy the "mwrpatch1.5.1" folder into "mwrpatch1.5.1+bettercamera", so you can leave the original folder as backup in case u screw up something or need to compare again.
Step 6: if u inspect the better camera folder you'll notice that almost all files are last touched on in 2016 while a handful have been tampered with at 2017, the 2017 files are the ones u need to take note of.
Step 7: now if u inspect the "mwr patch 1.5.1" folder you'll notice that again many of the files in it were last touched in 2016 while some have been touched on in 2018, these are the ones that we need to be careful not to delete or copy over.
Step 8: now we will copy the files from the camera mod that were last touched in 2017 to "mwr patch 1.5.1 +better camera" and copy them over only the files in mwr 1.5.1 that were last touched in 2016. which means dont copy the whole folder over the other, but one file at a time.
Step 9: you'll also notice that the "witchergame.ws" doesnt have a counterpart in the 1.5.1 patch, just copy it normally dont worry about it.
Step 10: now here it gets a little bit tricky, there is but 1 file that is patched over both in the better camera mod and the mwr patch 1.5.1, this we cant copy over like the others and instead we'll have to edit it manually. but how do we edit it? Visual basic studio will do. How do we know what it is we need to edit? well, a quick automatic comparison between the code of that corresponding file from patch 1.5 and the camera mod one showed that only 5 lines were in need to be altered in order for better camera to work. if u try to use the visual studio code comparison tool between the mwr patch 1.5.1 file and the better camera mod that was made for patch 1.5 you'd be hella confused. That file is "player.ws".
Step 11: to save you the time and the headache of comparing the code, the lines you need to alter are the five lines after line 1950. what you want to do is copy them from the better camera patch file over the player.ws from the new 1.5.1 patch. Due to code optimization from the new patch the corresponding lines that we want to copy over  will be a few lines higher than 1950, so around 1945 or something.
Step 12: Once that is done, save your edited "player.ws" file, now we'll want to pack the "mwr patch 1.5.1 + better camera", the folder that we did all the copying over in, to a dzip file called scripts.dzip again. All we need to do is drag the folder onto the Gibbed.red.pack.exe file. Refresh the page if needed and you'll notice we now have a dzip file that goes by our folder's name. rename that dzip file to "scripts.dzip" and copy it back into wherever its supposed to go in the game's folders. Open the game to test if it now works and voila, ur done. Otherwise go back and check if you did all the steps correctly.

As you can see, this process can be a bit of a pain and it took me a handful of hours after midnight till i had figured everything out without direction. Hopefully ill be able to have it hosted on its original page no problem, but if the mod's author is unresponsive for whatever reason then ill leave these directions here for u to use. I might even post a few screenshots of the lines of code u need to change if need be.

what kind of creatures are these modders?! can't you just make a mod so that you can walk during the block and so that the reflection of the blows was specifically at the moment of the swords touching??? why these complete rebalances breaking the game!!! why unnecessary mechanics? I have not searched the Internet and have not found a fashion for the seemingly simplest thing! I hate you modders!!!!

You need to calm tf down bro. Nobody forced you to download no mod. Now instead of acting like child about the problem u think you have how about u explain it to us like a grown man would?

Why even with footwork geralt rolls when you dodge and only pirouettes when you are in parry stance? Is it how it's supposed to be? Also, parry stance is actually slow to enter :-(

Even though the animation for blocking and parrying seems slow to enter, you can still do pirouettes even without it being complete, i.e. pressing block and then without waiting, pressing dodge will do a pirrouette provided obviously that you have footwork lvl 2.
