Is there a way to disable the controller vibration? Also is this mod safe to uninstall mid playthrough (if the need arises)? Also does this mod make it so you can parry monster attacks as well?
Very interesting, man, it has improved the combat a lot. I'm an avid Sekiro player and would love to see a version with an even more precise parry window. Would it be possible to have a way for parries to take stamina from enemies, instead of those pathetic kick or bash animations? It seems like a much more enjoyable system and similar to Sekiro
Hey, I really like your mod, but unfortunately, it conflicts with my mod 'Witcher School Set Rework and Balance'. The conflict is that your mod allows parrying heavy attacks, while in the 'Witcher School Set Rework and Balance' mod, the bonuses from the 6 pieces of the Bear School armor set also allow parrying heavy attacks. This causes a conflict between the two. Could anyone help me resolve this issue? PS: Sorry for my English."
Correct me if I'm wrong, I'm not sure if I understand how arrow blocking/deflection works in this mod versus vanilla. In vanilla, you can't block arrows at all. You NEED the skill, otherwise you can only dodge. This mod not only introduces the ability to deflect arrows without the skill, but the ability to block arrows AT ALL without the skill. My understanding of this system is important for the feedback I'm trying to give with this comment.
If my interpretation is correct, then I have some criticism of how this mod changes the Arrow Deflection skill. The replacement effect makes the skill feel significantly less valuable (it was pretty niche already, now it's even worse) and I don't see a scenario where I would ever spend points on it. I have one suggestion for a rework that would make it more valuable.
Without the skill: You can block/parry arrows, but you can't deflect them back at your attacker Skill level 1: Parrying arrows now deflects them back at their attacker Skill level 2: You can parry more than just arrows, for example the Water Hags mud attack
Or maybe you're stuck on the idea of being able to parry arrows without the skills. Maybe then it could be something like this No skill: Can parry arrow Skill level 1: Can parry light ranged monster attacks, such as Water Hag (Maybe deflects? Maybe just blocks? IDK, you decide) Skill level 2: Can parry heavy ranged monster attacks, such as Troll rock throw (Definitely not deflect, only block)
This mod reduces parry window, so in order to deflect an arrow you now have less time. It's now 100% skill based (I mean your skill as a player, and not the skill tree in the game). Thus you can completely ignore it in a skill tree, unless you want to get rid of stamina damage every block/parry.
Maybe I'll do some other no-skill "punishment" in future, but for now is good enough.
I get what you're trying to go for in the mod, and I like it. I just don't like to make certain aspects of the game irrelevant. That's what I'm trying to critique. I would like to see the skill reworked in such a way that you're still required to hit the same parry window, but the reward for hitting that parry window is greater, or the scenarios where you can use your parry are more common. I don't like the solution of just ignoring the skill, without a decent replacement.
If it's not something you're interested in addressing, than that's fine, I will just ignore Arrow Deflection skill. However, the ideal would be to have all skills still be a rewarding upgrade with your mod installed.
EDIT: Sorry, I just saw the last part of the message about a possible future nerf for not having the skill. That sounds pretty interesting and would probably satisfy the problem I see with the current implementation.
If you mean W3EERedux, then I don't think so. Because that mod modifies alot of scripts in the game in a way, that makes it pretty much uncompatible with many other mods.
Actually, I managed to run the game with your mod and WEE Redux and the parry changed, but I'm not sure if it's correct. In WEER, parrying just on the right mouse button did not cause a counter attack, shift and ctrl were used for that. With your mod the counter attack from just parrying is back, is this normal? Should parrying work in chains as it is implemented in sekiro, when you get hit several times and parrying breaks the stamina of enemies?
This mod does not introduce stamina break system from Sekiro. And it was not made for W3EER. Nor for any other mods that heavily change combat system (like Spectre or Eternal Hunt).
You should ask on EER discord, author is quite helpful. That being said that mod already has advanced system for parrying so probably not compatible. As in it might look like it works but something is breaking in the background.

But it looks like no. Though, maybe it will work with Spectre.

Do the parries affect enemy's poise like in sekiro so we can perform a finisher?
If the mod only changes the parry window, it wont be enought to have a decent combat in this game
