    is there a fix to remove the tattoo permanently in the next gen version? I tried this mod and all the console commands suggested in the comments. it´s not working in NG

      Hi,

      I can confirm this DOES work on latest NextGen patch (V4.04) as of today with a combination of the following, not sure which bit exactly made it permanent but this is what I did:

      1. removefact("import_geralt_has_tattoo")
      2. Fast travel to new location, tattoo still present.
      3. removefact('sq102_import_geralt_has_tattoo'
      4. Fast travel to new location, tattoo still present.
      5. settattoo(0)
      6. Tattoo not present, Fast travel to new location, tattoo still not present.
      7. Save game.
      8. Load game, tattoo not present. sorted.

      If at any point it returns I will update my post,

    doesn't work on v1.3.1 goty from steam

      because i'm lazy to update this mod here's how to remove it:
      get the debug console mod
      type: removefact("import_geralt_has_tattoo")
      just fast travel somewhere and you won't have it anymore

      that's weird, i just tried it and it worked.
      maybe because i forgot to close the brackets ?
      try again:

      removefact( "import_geralt_has_tattoo" )

      oh and to see the effect fast travel to a different map entirely, or save and reload would probably work too.

      this is the command I had to use to make the tattoo disappear permanently:

      removefact('sq102_import_geralt_has_tattoo')

      Yea just a little curious why you would make a mod to do this when it's easier to just use the console.

      Immersion maybe?
      Honestly this was my first mod it was the first thing that came to mind, but i could see people using it either for Immersion or maybe cuz they couldn't get the console mod workong

    Got a little problem. I already used this mod once. After I took a break from the game I had to clean out all my mods because they didn't work anymore and the tattoo reappeared. Now, with 1.22 out, I wanted to try this mod again. The problem is, that I neither have the recipe nor can I buy it from Keira or Gremist. The console commands from warret won't work, too.

    EDIT: Nevermind, just noticed the mod wasn't turned on.

    Seems to be broken now, game won't launch with the mod.

    Error [modtattopotion]game\player\playerwitcher.ws(146: Cannot override function 'IsEquippedSwordUpgradedWithOil' declared 'final' in class 'CR4Player'.

    EDIT: Nevermind, after I deleted your mod and got back into the game, somehow the tattoo was gone! Weird.. but I'm glad it's somehow fixed now.

      this is because once removed, the tattoo is gone for ever , no need for the mod.

    Errors is gone but tattoo removal potion the same doesn't show in alchemy menu.

      you have to buy the formula from one of the two npc's mentioned in the description, did you do that ?

      Maybe the problem is the use of other mods "Set Weight Limit" and "90000 weight limit for Patch 1.12". These mods use the file playerWitcher.ws also. And it doesn't help or deleting Hacks folder. Or use a combination of the file create and copy telemetryKeyword.ws or using Script Merger doesn't works. Maybe it will be easier to use the Debug console enabler and generate tattoo removal potion e.g. by command "addrecipespotions".

      still didn't answer my question though.
      anyway, the recipe and the potion are added as dlc items, so you should be able to find the recipe and craft the potion and no other mod will stop you from doing so. only the effect(tattoo removal) is done via script.
      here are the potion and recipe item names to use via command: 'tattoPotion' and 'Recipe for Tatto Potion'

      Hello,

      Keira Metz had already gone to the Kaer Morhen and I didn't get in location Skellige yet. This is the reason.
      So I used the debug console. The following command is working:

      additem('Recipe for Tatto Potion', 1)

      But I have discovered yet more better solution. Just insert into the console:

      settattoo(0)

      and tattoo from Witcher 2 is removed. Thanks a lot.

      i believe that command is only temporary and the tattoo will be back if you fast travel

      Hello, You're right. The effect of the console command "settattoo(0)" is temporary. So once again use of the mod eventually with Script Merger.
      In addition, the need for me to use of debug console with command:

      additem('Recipe for Tatto Potion')

      or directly

      additem('tattoPotion')

      Effect is permanent now.


      But now I found one another bug in the game. Maybe it will be a nut even for the debug console - patch is not yet. However, it is on another topic.

    I love the idea of the mod since I totally forgot I had this tattoo and I would really like to get rid of it. The potion itself works. As soon as I drink it, the tattoo disappears. The problem is that as soon as I fast travel, the tattoo reappears again.

      Thank you, it works now. After I fast travel the tattoo can be seen for a short moment and then disappears again.

      yep, it's a hack rather then a fix i'll update if i find a better way, and sorry for wasting your precious time and alchemy components
      Edit : it's fixed now , the tattoo shouldn't be seen after taking the potion not even for short moments
