Hey this is EXACLY what I've been needing, I LOVE to have HP bars off, but I find myself so often attacking an enemy for straight minutes, even once went vs a golem for 15 minutes and finally I got tired of it and turned on HP bars just to find out he was lvl 27 when I was lvl 8, didn't get hit not even once and had no idea what I was really against, that's reallyyy annoying and your mod does save the day by having LEVEL+NAME displayed. Thing is, I'm rather new to this mod thing, is there anything I should be concerned about? Does this mod disable acheivements? Or are there any draw backs from it? Thanks
Does this modified health bar still flash to indicate incoming enemy attacks? I hate that feature and don't play with health bars because of it, but I would use this mod otherwise!
Does anyone know if this mod still works, or if it'll work with current versions of Ghost Mode, Friendly HUD and Preparations? I want to be able to see enemy health bars, but not that red flash that occurs just before an enemy attacks. Will this mod remove that red flash? If not, does anyone have any other recommendations? (I'm currently running the new E3 HUD mod, which, in addition to some pleasant cosmetic changes, resolves this issue, but I'm not a fan of the changes to potion slots, and I'm a miserable nitpicking bastard :P)

Great mod, works as advertised! I've always wanted a mod that warns me not to foolishly kamikaze high level enemies without breaking immersion. I came here to find such a mod with very minimal hope, yet here it is, and its simplicity makes it all the more beautiful. Thank you!
Thank you for this; it's exactly what I was looking for. I play with health bars and NPC names off, so being able to tell what level an enemy was was always an issue. The red X is perfect. If I see it above an enemy, I run. I also didn't merge, (I had a conflict with Friendly HUD but everything that I use FH for seems to be working) and all is well.
Do you want the red skull explicitly or would it be ok to have a red x about the enemy? Accessing these detailed parts of the hud doesn't seem to be that easy. I'll do some research nontheless.
Actually, I was looking for something very specific (which I do not know if you will be able to figure out). Somebody on the cdpr forums mentioned he likes to play with enemy hud totally off, for immersion factor. No level, no healthbar, nothing.
However, he hates it when he ends up getting rekt by a red skull enemy, even though he admits he doesn't want to see any HUD. So he was asking if there's a way to ONLY show the red skull icon, and nothing else on all other enemies.
I know, sounds like it would be difficult to code. But with modding, we as PC gamers are allowed to dream, right?
No, that's not possible, the enemy display HUD is very restricted in terms of modifications. I'm able to display the level as part of the name tho, that's what my mod is doing.
