Novigrad Sunny Weather with Reshade
Just a quick show off for reshade i'm playing with. How it works and what effects im running. My aim was to get sof shadows and natural lightning, with good playable fps and clear readable gameplay.Amazing weather and lightning mod by Ramzesovich, https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/3426So, I'll describe whats actually happening for ppl who wonder and would like to recreate that look.I've disabled in-game bloom, godrays and AO.No need to waste fps on those, since im going to "replace" them with reshade.For good looking AO i'm doing 2 passes: one with big radius and color bounce to mimic "global lighning" and PBR. The second one is small radius "sharp" AO for characters and small details.I use different techniques for those, since i found SSDO doing rly good for low fps cost. But you can use the same MXAO at your taste, as i remember Marty added 2 pass support in his recent release.For bloom I'm running classic "magic bloom". Low intensity, and low threshold. It gives that "fairy-tale"-ish look. And soften the image.Colorcorrection is quite simple - some bleach and negative S-curve.Next, we add some sharpening, noise and deband (since bloom and AO provide some artifacts).
THE WITCHER 3 WILD HUNT 28 - Another Familiar Friend
Armed with the Knowledge that we must find and talk to Dandelion, Geralt head's off to the Tavern that the Bard has Inherited. As is often the case in this adventure, Geralt does not find the Troubadour, but does re-unite with another familiar face and friend. The two discover some unique information and then Geralt sets off on a lengthy quest to talk to lots of Dandelion's acquaintances where we discover that Dandelion was acting very peculiar prior to his disappearance.
THE WITCHER 3 WILD HUNT 27 - Geralt has to search his Feelings
Geralt with his lead from Triss goes off to find Corinne and stumbles into a rather bizarre encounter with another Godling, who's pretending to haunt a house in Novigrad. Upon dealing with that issue Geralt must then confront his own feelings and memories of Ciri if Corinne is going to be able to help him discover his next lead. Having made his way to Novigrad, Geralt needs to locate Triss Merigold to find out if she has any leads or knowledge of Ciri's whereabouts. However in the so called 'Free City' all Mages, Sorceresses and Non-Humans are heavily persecuted, hunted and even executed by the Temple Guard and Church of Eternal Fire. THE WITCHER 3 WILD HUNT 23 - Velen's Gwent Champion
A more relaxed and less story heavy episode today. Before I head to Novigrad I decided to do some exploration of Velen and complete a few side quests, namely the ones that require me to crush folk at Gwent.
THE WITCHER 3 WILD HUNT 24 - Let's go to Novigrad
Starting out this episode in Oxenfurt where I have crafted my Griffin School Gear and Swords so now have a full collection of the Enhanced Witcher Gear, I do one Witcher contract involving a Drunk Killing Vampire which requires Geralt to get drunk off his ass for professional reasons before embarking on our journey towards Novigrad.
THE WITCHER 3 WILD HUNT 25 - How did I win that game of Gwent
I'm at the Gates of Novigrad, so time to try and endear myself to the locals firstly by undertaking a Witcher contract that has been posted for sometime without reply judging by the sun bleached nature of the notice. Then with that done its time to go find all the Merchants in Novigrad and challenge them to a duel of gards and play some games of Gwent to try and win some new rare cards for my deck. However one game just left me astonished by the outcome after I felt I'd lost the game at the end of the 2nd Round.
