Hi, can we have this version to replace Elven Rebel cut since I really like the trands of Long and Loose hairstyle. I'm playing with Hairworks off. Thank you in advance.
Firstly, this mod is not a hairworks mod and any improvements cannot be done with textures, as even the color itself is generated from the 3D model itself. The hair models included in this modpage are already at the maximum quality.
The only ways to improve them further are a) completely remake the non-hairworks 3D model assets of the hair or b) completely replace them with hairworks 3D models.
This is not something I plan to do, as I find the hair models good enough. Furthermore, I have not seen anyone else attempt something like that for Geralt, but only for some main female NPCs iirc.
i came here to ask about the ear clipping issue as well since this is imo the best haircut for geralt out there, but the clipping, especially on the right ear, is really bad. i think i might know how to fix it but i barely ever did any 3d work, do you think i could be able to give it a shot without spending months learning how 3d modeling works? and if its to your satisfaction would you consider using it?
Hey, that's really valiant of you if you decide to give it a go. It's not super hard or anything, but you have to 1) learn how importing stuff into W3 works which has some nuances and then 2) you also need to learn about the basics of 3D modelling at the polygon or mesh level to make your desired changes to the hair model.
If you do go ahead with this and you're satisfied with the results, then I will be more than happy to host it here and give you credit! As I have received this request before, I will be looking into improving it sometime in the future (once I'm done with a bunch of RL stuff and start updating my big 3D model mods), but in the meantime you are welcome to give it a go if you want. Cheers!
Have a question: This so called slicked back or cinematic hair version had a clipping issue on the ears. You could see the hair was slightly going through them. When I realized that you have changed the title to Next-Gen, wanted to ask about that. Is this problem still remains?
Hi Jonah, thanks I'm doing good, happy holidays! That never bothered me so it isn't "fixed", however, there are a few things that can be done about it to improve it further. Don't have the time to do it now, but I can look into it in the future! Cheers
hi first thank you for make this great mod i want use Mode like this picture but i don't know which one is it please help me so i can find and downloaded
Hey mate, sorry for the late reply and apparent confusion! File you need to download to have that hairstyle is this one: "Geralt Cinematic Hair instead of DLC Hairstyle 3 - Grey with HW hair strand". Have fun!
Hi mate, sorry I'm happy with the less grey version and I don't have much free time to make a more grey version. Almost everyone has been happy with the current version, but if there is more demand for your request I could consider it in the future. Cheers
Is there a white color file that replaces DLC style 2 with just the hair without HWBeard? and/or is there a way I can install it without the Beard? If anyone replies thanks for your time and help~
There are actually a combination of mods you can use to achieve that: Any no hw (+ beard) mods, the custom hairstyles mod by Ard and then there is also a mod from another author that changes the colors of the Ard's mod to whiter that was inspired from this mod.
I really love the hair strand from vanilla hair 3, so i wonder if there's a white version for it? I dont want to use holgar96's hair because of the no HW and it wont work with 60fps physic fix. Anyways, great mod!
