Version 0.8 is released with a lot of overall stability and compatibility improvements.
Please see the changelog for details.
This is the first release that also supports Steam Proton installations on Linux, check out the GitHub repo if that's relevant for you.
This will also be the last "big" update for The Witcher 3 Mod Manager from me. Big thanks to stefan3372 for creating this tool and thank you all for the support!
UPDATE: I figured it out. I disabled all. Then enabled one by one till I got the culprit. -------------------------------------- A problem has developed.
I tried installing a mod but it wouldnt. Closed without save. Uninstalled mod. Ran script merger, showed no conflicts. Ran game and this happened when game loaded scripts:
Error [content0]game\gui\popups\itemselectionpopup.ws(107): 'checkTagsOR' is not a member of '&handle:W3GuiSelectItemComponent' Error [content0]game\gui\popups\itemselectionpopup.ws(117): 'checkTagsOR' is not a member of '&handle:W3GuiSelectItemComponent' Error [content0]game\gui\popups\itemselectionpopup.ws(135): 'checkTagsOR' is not a member of '&handle:W3GuiSelectItemComponent'

i have come to the belief that the script merger is a total pile of dog shite it usually causes more problems then it fixes and it never catches all the problems also all the tutorials never really explain how to use it. like why do i need 4 years of coding experience to mod a 10+ ear old game when i don't for every other game i own.

Modding aren't easy. You have to learn how to mod the game before you mod the game. Some errors and problem you see on various post are mostly due to user's mistake.
this video seems to show how to do it easily, just 8+something minutes... Hope it helps... i am reinstalling my steam version of TW3 and will try it as well, since i ve left the game for a long time I've been playing fallout 4 and ac odyssey for more than 2 years and can't remember a thing about controls. now it got a....Redsomething launcher and game didn't start, got some script compile errors and i didn't even remember i had mods, this manager and merger on my first installation...
I recently installed the Gervant First Person Mod for the game (I am on the latest version of the game at date). I ran script manager and resolved all conflicts. Now, when I run the game via Mod Manager I get the following error (btw, I launch the game in dx12).
Installing GFP NoDouble Tap ToDodge Installing GFP Parry Senses Installing GFP Responsive Walk Toggle Installing GFP Run OnBoat Installing GFP Shadows Installing GFP Shadows Torch Installing GFP Slide Installing GFP Strafe Installing GFP Sword Hint > Installed 22 mods or dlcs (0 errors) [WinError 740] The requested operation requires elevation
Any idea how to fix this? I'm still a noob (but trying to learn from more experienced users).
Thanks in advance for any feedback that can help me.
NEVER MIND: I got it working - Had to run Mod Manager as Administrator
Hi! need help. How can i change the disk on which mods are installed. It keeps installing it all on Documents on Disk C while my game and mod manager itself is on disk D. ^fixed. Now i have a bundled non-text of non-mergeable lines, dont know what exactly that means
I searched everywhere but I can't find any instructions on setting mod order priorities. Is lower number higher in priority or higher number higher in priority? For example would a mod set to priority 1 overwrite a mod set to priority 2 or vice versa? Thanks.
The mod having higher priority will only overwrite the files in conflict, not the whole mod having lower priority. And don't put a very low number. I advise you assign step by step like 10, 20, 30, etc...

You're using an outdated mod on Next Gen 4.04 Make sure each mod confirm to work on 4.04 in the description/mod files. Or was updated since 19th July 2023. Don't take "popular" mods, always look at "last updated" order.
Hello, I have manually installed several mods, and would now like to use this mod manager. Would the mod manager recognise these previously installed mods automatically?
Could somebody please explain to me how do I properly launch the Mod Manager? I installed it into W3 directory with its own folder. Whenever I try to launch the manager, it always asks me to set it up even though I've already done that.
Thank you for the response. I've already read those instructions and successfully using multiple mods. I just have no clue how to make the MM to show the mods list in the main window where I can enable/disable the mods. The tool only shows the mods in the Mod Order window. And regarding your comment about the location of the MM; Perhaps, you are right and it shouldn't be in the game's directory. As a matter of fact, I had it installed elsewhere before, the manager worked all the same. I believe it doesn't really matter where the MM is located as long as it knows the path to the game's .exe
The left windows of Mod Manager are reserved for mods you have installed using this tool. The right list simply detects all installed mods (included those manually). Beside, you can enable/disable mods by simply rename them with "~~" at the start of their name.

(right click, run as admin)
On any mod when I click mod manager download. Nothing happens.
I have to manual download. Then drag mod into manager. Work well from there.
Is there a way to get the mmd to work??

I suggest you read those document so you know how to mod the game:
The Tome of Witcher 3 Modding

List of mods you don't need for Next Gen
