I have been sick and haven't really had energy for mods/games and responding to messages, I apologize. Been trying to address a long backlog of things I've been meaning to get to, so posts on this mod/messages I've received pertaining to this mod. Again, I'm sorry since it's been several months and it looks like several of you have had issues. Hopefully I'll be able to get around to looking at these things soon.
Update 11/7/20: I am sorry but I am suspending work on my mods (and tbh that mostly means this one)-- I am just too tired currently to do much of anything. I may come back at some point when I have a bit more energy. If anyone wants to work on ironing issues with it themselves, I'm happy to provide files/whatever limited knowledge I have.
You wouldn't happen to have a back up of the default en.w3strings file for the DLC. I forgot to back it up and I can't run my current save the file without restoring the original values. Perhaps you can specify the journal entry change and I can manually revert the values on the en.w3strings file for the DLC.Please help thanks!
Oof. Sorry. Here's a link to the original (vanilla) file if anyone still has this issue: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1d1xmrGQTH-NUl0sEVZ5TThFIuVYE3b90/view?usp=sharing. If you use Steam or a similar service, you should be able to verify the game's directory and not reinstall the whole thing to get the original DLC7 en.w3strings file back.
Hello after I uninstall the mod (neutral ver) all wolves health bar appear empty (the bar is still there, but looks like they're out of hp, just a black bar). I believe the actual hp is still correct as it takes a couple hits to kill them. Is this a known thing? Anyway to fix it?
Unfortunately I am spread a little thin life-wise right now and therefore have no plans to do so, but anyone is welcome to use my files for this purpose.
EDIT: Finally got it working. To anyone else struggling, before installing this; 1. Create a copy of the folder DLC7 located in <\The Witcher 3\DLC>, put it on your desktop for the time being. 2. Install the mod, if using TW3 Mod Manager: (which you should be because Vortex doesn't play nice with a lot of W3 mods) click 'Yes' when it asks you to overwrite. 3. Copy the DLC7 folder backup you made earlier into the earlier directory <\The Witcher 3\DLC>, and click 'No' when asked to overwrite one file. Should work fine after that.
While its true that wild animals were relatively more aggressive to our ancestors who did not have loud sticks of death and other such scary things (nor did they taste like odd chemicals and micro-plastics) Geralt is a goddamn Witcher. It just feel wolves would know that isn't going to end well.
First of all, *amazing mod* I'm ever so grateful for you to have made it! :D
Secondly, is there *any chance* that you can make the wolf be able to "swim", rather than just walking on the ocean floor when you call him while diving? :D I miss my wolfie so much, and it's like my biggest dream to have him swimming alongside me as we're chilling in the ocean and what not :D
Unfortunately this mod just edits factions. I don't have any of my Witcher 3 modding resources anymore, and wouldn't know where to start adding animations. Sorry.
Can someone upload the ./The Witcher 3/dlc/DLC7 ( probably 80KB size )folder? Can't open a save file after installing this mod and even after I uninstalled this mod. (GOG GOTY) I will show my appreciation through Reddit, thanks! (reward)

Thank you! Turns out DLC7 is not the problem, I might have replaced some files on scripts folder on content0. if you wouldn't mind can you upload the ./content/content0/scripts folder?? (approximately 24.8 MB) btw what's your Reddit username?
Unfortunately I don't even have the game installed on my current computer. If you delete the modded files that are causing you issues, you should be able to verify your files through the platform you purchased it (e.g. Steam) and redownload them.
I solved the problem! turns out the backup copy I made is the one who's causing the problem but I still get missing DLC fool's gold with or without mods. Do you have any idea why?? ( i tried verifying game files but no changes )
I've only gotten that error with bad/missing DLC file components. Unfortunately it's been forever since I had the game installed or I modded it, so I don't have any other tips beyond uninstall/reinstall.
Mod works perfectly still. I used the neutral version. Unlike what other users have said, it DOES work with Brutal Blood - you just need to set the priority of this mod above Brutal Blood. Use Script Merger and set a higher priority for this mod.
How can it be a priority problem? If you have conflicting scripts, script merger will merg them and then these merges scripts have highest priority and will get loaded into the game instead of the individual mod scripts. And mods script files that to not conflict do not have another mod that chnges this same script file and will therefor not conflict with another mod. The loading order of script mods should therefor be irrelevant as long as conflicts are merged correctly and the merged files get loaded first.
It's been a million years since I touched this mod, but it doesn't edit scripts at all.
I don't remember what the edited files are called but the wolves' factions, which affect their behavior, are edited.
If I remember right, the conflict with Brutal Blood is that that mod edits the same file as mine to apply the new gore effect to wolves.
You should be able to use the two together, but my mod needs to load after Brutal Blood to take effect. And that means all your enemies except wolves will have the Brutal Blood changes applied.
I see abadoned and maybe starving dogs fighting for theyr lives as a not unrealistig consequence of the war that happend to roll over the land. And Velen itself is just an unfriendly and corrupting place, thanks to the 3 "witches".

Friendly Wolves (Next-Gen)
I hope that's ok for you, apomorph. I did credit you, of course.

Finally can ride through the woods in peace.
