i must be going crazy but i cant see how to install your plugin/addon for my blender 2.92. usually all I have to do is let blender load the rar file up and I'm good to go with a addon. this one is a little different? its not picking it up.
I've never installed an addon like that, so I'm afraid I can't help as I simply don't know. Personally, I just copy paste the extracted directory to one of the addon directories of my Blender installation.
For anyone who still needs this information to install this addon: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LzdoUTvAgXk
Or in text format: Go in Blender under edit, then preferences, then addon, than install (choose the zip-Folder), and dont forget to tickt the box in Addons (otherwise it wont show up under import/ export)
Having the same issue. Simply installing via preferences or manually in the Blender addon directory doesn't allow it to show in the Blender AddOn menu or import/export options even though a message will show it's installed when done via preferences. The Blender Srt addon does the same thing and I don't have issues with other addons.
Thank you for the extraordinary addon, Blender APX Addon for Blender 3.5.0! I really want to be able to use the io addon for hair, however, the tutorial video is too fast and I am always having trouble following the steps. Would you possibly write a written tutorial explaining the steps in detail please?
How to add such a file as a mod to the witcher?. Imean, if I've already made a character model in blender, how do I convert the file to make a mod to the witcher
I placed io_scene_apx into my blender\3.4\scripts\addons file, but apx still isn't shown as an option in the import menu, and directly opening an .apx file will simple force blender to quit.
Well, this is not to create redcloth and hairworks but rather to be able to edit vanilla asset. Though, making redcloth has been possible since quite a long time already, so making a banner should be an easy thing to make
Definitely this humble addition for Blender is a real sensation.
Until now, the reverse translation of the .apb file into the mesh was considered not possible ... (unless you have the source file in which the .apb file was made).
- I converted 3 vanilla .apb files from the game and 3 own .apb files, the result is great !!!
By checking the result of converting my own .apb files, I made sure that the original mesh topology after conversion is reproduced absolutely accurately.
- the UVW map is also correctly saved in the converted files.
this addon does everything you need to fully work with vanilla .apb files.

Edit: Nvm, I'm dumb. Figured it out.Thank you for your great work~
Well, it may happen some time in the future, but for now, many info from clothing .apx remains obscure to me.

The usage is pretty niche, but I thought it could be useful to some people, starting from myself
