Roach doesn't seem to park itself with the mod installed, opting to just stand still whetever you mount off of him. She doesn't seem to despawn either. Is this intentional?
UPDATE: This happens only while Thoughtful Roach is installed, regardless of what options you have selected in its config menu. Consider making a patch :^j
An offtop: Roach is SHE, at least the author of the books and the developers of the game intended her to be “her” judging from the original books in Polis and Polish versions of the games.
Considering you called her “it”, “he” and “she” in the same post I thought this tiny piece of information would be useful to you )))
The Roach in the books is not the same Roach in this game. The Roach in this game is a HE. 100%, no debate, nothing. Play the DLC and you'll see for yourself.
Roach is female in the games too. When Geralt takes Uma he says "this here is Roach. she'll take us to Kaer Morhen". when she talks in the DLC they gave her a male voice, but Geralt still confirms she's female by saying "I expected a young mare to sound girlish". but I like that "100%, no debate, nothing". it's always funny when overconfident people make mistakes.
Assuming this is easy to do, could you inform me what to edit and in which script, in order to increase the distance from the signs in which whistling summons the horse?
Having to rub my face against the sign to summon, as well as the summoning not working sometimes, which requires multiple whistles, is quite awkward :(
So it is "annoying" to summon horse? So mod name is accurate after all :D
It is actually my mistake to not describe mod intent better Intent is to remember where you left your horse, and return there. Not to summon horse. Summoning is for cases when the game despawns horse or you just don't feel like 'roleplaying' today For small Skellige islands horse should not be used at all
The only possible problem is IF the game despawns horse TOO often
I was about to inform you that the sign at Oreton doesn't seem to summon the horse, but after your message, idk anymore...
I enjoy walking around and using the horse only for long distances. I even play with fast travel disabled (mod Long Journey). I'd appreciate it very much if you could indulge me by making Roach summonable on every sign, as well as very slightly increasing the distance :^y
The tittle is missleading. The mod makes the horse more immersive, but without making it annoying. It is also the only mod of this type compatible with the rest of my installed mods. Roach keeps waiting where you left it, and comes to you when you whistle from far enough to be comfortable. I have not missed vanilla respawn yet.

mod uses interactor visibility, not entity scanning and checking distance
EDIT: this thread is about older version
