STLM 3.0 Nudel Edition by Toka is still the best looking lighting mod ever made for the Witcher IMO, with leaves flying around and particles like in Toussaint, moving cloud shadows on the ground, and a far better implemenation of Sun light vs shadow/ambient occlusion, fog and water, and general reflections works flawless on Next Gen and looks incredible, ZERO FPS drop too, dx 11 not sure about dx12. Compatible with everything, Kng Dof and Bloom, Darker Nights, Skellige Weatrher, True Fires, Cinematic lensflare and Tuoussaint motion blur and even better ao mod. Essenthi really captured the 2013 demo lighting in 3.0 and Toka made it even better, it was their both Mona Lisa, everything after that was a mix bag, and the 3.2 is not bad just real demanding on fps with many unnecessary changes and with no visible improvement compared to 3.0 Nudle Edition, In fact I dare say it is lacking in detail. Toka also added STLM DLC as well with many positive changes that are just fabulous, and added so much to the immersion.
You're absolutely right—it's frustrating how difficult it can be to discover gems like STLM Nudel amidst a flood of lighting mods that are heavily promoted in videos. Despite its rarity on platforms like YouTube, STLM Nudel genuinely surpasses others. The most astonishing thing about STLM Nudel is that I downloaded it (released back in 2015) through an old YouTube video link leading to a Google Drive file. Initially, I tested it on the old-gen version without even considering trying it on next-gen, as most old lighting mods don't function there. Meanwhile, many have new versions tailored for next-gen updates. Imagine my surprise when I discovered that even on DX12 with RTX enabled, STLM Nudel worked flawlessly and outclassed every other lighting mod—after years spent on them restored to run on nextgen.ofc I also use Reshade to complement it. Only other reshade with LM worth attention for the game is https:// youtu.be/ wyPWp_293tg?si= -aYnnNp5OGkx0WvE but only for old gen..but you can forget about it since all reshades created in our time are supplied exclusively on the basis of a subscription to Patreon, etc.
As reported by others, the link unfortunately doesn't work anymore. I am really interested in this STLM 3.0 Nudel Edition mod too, any chance to get it from somewhere else?

Is it normal to have these circular glowing effects around laterns and torches? I really like the overall look of the lighting, but this aspect is kinda off.
Anyone have suggestions on a lighting issue I have. The install is pretty straight forward so I don't believe I've made a mistake. I removed all other mods and am still having this issue. I haven't done a clean install yet. Inside buildings the lighting seems inconsistent. In best case scenarios cutscenes suddenly shift from outdoor light to warmer candle light. In worst case scenarios, my lighting almost seems to switch to an inverse gamma. The slightest angle towards or away from a window will change it. I love the lighting this mod creates but this issue is making it almost unplayable. This particular screenshot is from the hut in white orchard connected to the frying pan quest. https://imgur.com/gallery/black-lighting-sq0ocVM
Never mind. I had some bin files left over from the shadow flicker fix mod that were still taking effect. That mod currently has some serious issues with interior light apparently. The change is noticeable with that mod but becomes drastic when paired with stlm. Removed the bin files from shadow fix and the entire problem disappeared.
Since a lot of people seemed confused, for Next Gen STLM, you only need to download the STLM NGE file and put it in your mod folder or install it with WMM, like any other lighting mod. You don't need any other mod file for this mod to work. If you have the old STLM mod, you have to uninstall it. You don't need any other file for STLM Next Gen, ONLY the STLM 3.3 NGE file
Plus, don't forget to turn on multi fog colors by setting FogUseDistInColorLerp to 2 in dx12user.settings in the Witcher 3 File in your documents folder (Not the main game directory but the file with save data in it)
