Anyone know if it's possible to use it with reWASD? It's an alternative to DS4Windows I'm using?

I believe installation would be easier if you have your folder structure for your mod like this: modYOURMODNAME>content>scripts>game>inputManager.ws
Then tell the users to drop your mod's folder into their mods folder. This way they are not overwriting vanilla files.

Yes and the old one is better. This one doesnt correct all buttons because it only uses script.

Dude, I made a mode that does exactly this without you needing to manually edit your files day 1 when the next-gen patch released XD.

The game already uses ps5 prompts native if you connect a dualsense controller

Yes we know, but you can only use it wired, if you go wireless you lose the dualsense/dualshock and vibration. this way you get both worlds using steam or ds4windows.

Really? Because I connected my PS5 controller and it showed the Xbox icons. Can you tell me what I'm doing wrong? Steam acknowledged it was a Playstation controller.

Yeah, it worked for myself both wired and wirelessly, only thing I can think of that I might have done differently was installing the ps5 controller updater app from sony.

Also, I did not even bothered "activating" anything via steam iirc

I don't want to be rude, but this mod seems to be redundant... and it didn't work for me at all anyway, on my Steam version of the game.  Turns out, the new next gen update supports PS4/5 controllers by default.  The problem is that Steam was just getting in the way of that, and tricking the game into thinking you have an X-Box controller.  If you go into steam, then right click on the Witcher 3 in your library, open the Properties window.  Click on the Controller section, and "Disable Steam Input".  Launch the game normally, and it will auto-detect your controller, and change all button prompts accordingly.  The x-box button prompts were driving me mad with my PS4 controller, but this fixed the problem right up.  The controls feel better, and the touch-pad button works normally now, too.  I hope this works for anyone else with the same issue.

@crash0zero: You never specified if you were wired or wireless. It makes a big difference. If you are wired, no problem, and you'd be correct. If you are playing wireless, there is where the problems come up with button prompts.

RevanFanMan if you're using WIRED MODE just disable steam input
Steam - Witcher 3 - Game properties - Controller - disable steam input
