The resolution of distant shadows becomes unusually low, but it improves when I get closer. This is especially noticeable when looking at tree shadows from a distance. Setting r.Shadows.MaxCSMResolution=8192 makes distant shadows appear clearer, but it significantly lowers FPS. Is there any other solution?
You can use RT Shadows if possible I usually use ther.Shadow.CacheMode3CacheUpdateIntervalsthe quality doesn't change, ofc, but the shadows stop flickering
The "RT Shadows" option does not appear in the database. When I enabled RT Shadows in the Engine.ini file, unnatural shadows appeared on the sides of cliffs and on the ground.
Hey guys ! I just wanted to share few screenshots and show possibilities what You can do with engine.ini . All thanks to beautiful eluwave , who made this possible and made this game for me playiable to this day ( with this graphic settings i just could't play in normal settings anymore, as much as i love this game ) !
Here's the link to screenshots and i hope You all enjoy this game as much as i do.
r.TemporalAA.Algorithm=1 r.TemporalAA.HistoryScreenPercentage=200 r.Streaming.FullyLoadUsedTextures=1 r.RayTracing.ForceLOD=0 r.RayTracing.Shadows=1 r.RayTracing.AmbientOcclusion=1 r.Lumen.Reflections.DownsampleFactor=1 r.Lumen.ScreenProbeGather.DownsampleFactor=16 r.Lumen.ScreenProbeGather.RadianceCache.ProbeResolution=32 if you’re using a high resolution (or any sort of upscaling), like 4K or higher, you can probably get away without TAA antialiasing

it won't let me post the picture so here's Imgur link: https://imgur.com/a/iH1NL6w
what GPU and driver version are you using?
(delete it, launch the game - it'll regenerate)
everything works fine for me🤔

Is there another way to increase the texture resolution in the distance?
25.3.1 Seems to completely block rendering with DX12, constant fatal error

can you tell me which driver version you're using?

It contains more accurate info on how to improve RT quality
