Got delayed a bit but finally had some time to dig into the changes made by Egosoft O_o the files are mostly new (updated & checked with older files) except for the Diff patched files ships & wares xml as they add-on to whatever is there.
Cheers Prime170 for the update ..... now to read some more manga ?O-o Ohh its already midnight XD
It's essentially the same mod as the original, only with added tags for VRO compatibility. So yes, it should be possible to add more engines if you follow the steps mentioned in the original mod. I haven't tested doing so, but it should work.
Hey thanks for the update! I tried the version that was supposed to allow the PIO to build them, i can buy it from their shipyard but they never build for themselves.
They only build Osaka destroyers.
Tested with VRO, Dead air mods (all of them) and Faction enhancer mod and I also tried with FOCW and still same result.
Ah! I misunderstood. Both the original Mk.II as well as my VRO port are only able to be built by the player. Can you set them to be available to NPC factions? Again, maybe. My understanding of XML and X4's incredibly convoluted mod file structure is honestly just surface level. I'll take a look at it over the weekend, but no promises.
Well that took less than I thought. The new file I've just uploaded should now be available to be built and used by the player and PIO. I used the same method other ship mods use to make themselves available to NPCs, so in theory it should work. But again, I haven't tested it. Do let me know if it works as intended.
I think you messed up the wording for the optional file?
Instead of ""Not needed if you are using the "Syn Mk2 for VRO - Player and PIO use" main file.""
Shouldn't it be: "Not needed if you are using the "Syn Mk2 for VRO - Player use only" main file." Optional file requires Main mod aka "Syn Mk2 for VRO - Player use only" Main file does not require optional mod aka "Syn Mk2 for VRO - Player and PIO use"
I'm also up way late so i could just be seeing things.
A bit of both I suppose. I changed the wording to hopefully make it clearer, though the character limit in the file description is, well, limiting. As of writing this (and hopefully from now on) requirements should be as follows:
There will only be 1 main file with no requirements.
Optional file requires main file (named: Syn Mk2 for VRO - Player use only) OR it can also be used with the original mod.
If you downloaded thenow archived alternate main file (named: Syn Mk2 for VRO - Player and PIO use) which was available for a couple of days, you do not need to switch over to the now main(ver. 1.8.1)/optional(ver. 0.1) files. That alternate main file includes the optional file. This will be void if the optional file is updated and the version changes of course.
I had originally attached the needed 2 files into an alternate main file instead of an optional patch file without thinking too much about it. It just seemed easier. Though now seeing the need of going through changes and multiple revisions of the optional file, it makes much more sense to package it up separately.

PIO optional file should still work. Let me know if there are any issues.

Is it possible to make only Pioneers faction build this ship?

Hope that cleared up any confusion
