The version that has the travel effects included causes a crazy glitch with the highways: if you fly into a highway while in travel mode, your ship will go so absurdly fast, it will travel through the entire highway loop in less than a second. It's hilarious. Through trial and error, I was able to pull up the map right as I flew my ship into a highway in travel mode, and I could literally watch my ship complete the entire highway loop several times in just a few seconds, which is about how long this effect lasts, but it's significant enough that you'll sometimes fly into the highway, trigger the glitch, then by the time the crazy speed boost wears off, you'll either be on the other side of the network, or right back where you started, or any random system in between, lmao. I verified that this happens specifically because of this mod by disabling all my other mods and testing the highway on a fresh save.
Luckily, it doesn't happen with the No Travel version of this mod. Honestly though, I almost wanna keep using the original version just for the hilarity of rolling the dice on where I'll end up every time I fly into the highway loop, lol.

You mean the old one? I had almost forgot it existed, since it is obsolete. :D Those effects were moved to REM Hyperdrive (where they make sense). Anyway, I have to remake this little mod to be less intrusive, too many effects when the battle is long (big ship) that reiterate, causing some lags.
The intense bright light generated when teleporting causes my RTX 4070Ti to scream in pain; GPU usage and cooling fans go to 100%. Is there a way to disable that effect for teleporting and keep the remaining effects for damage?
Yes, very easy. I'll make a no white fade-out version. That effect is in the md/rem_teleporteffect.xml. You can delete that file for now, will lose the teleportation sound but all the rest will be working, included the ejection effect.
For reasons only God knows, the previous version worked only on a Rebirth ship I added in REM. I finally got it working on all, but am not sure that all the effects I added are played, there are several thou that I saw working: alarm sounding, hull breaking sounds, sparkling lights. I made two different effects, one for teleportation and one for player ejected, so the sparkles appear only when the player is ejected.
Effects are generic and applied to player's room, be it cockpit or other room. It is not that EGO discarded them, just did not implement their appearance in the cockpit as did in Rebirth.
I still don't know if it is applied to all cockpits, seems only in capital ships but have to test.
Done a version without, see in the files ;-) Edit: Out of curiosity, on which ships did you see it in action? Because previous version seemed to work only on some ship.

Are the effects tied to individual consoles or are modeled for each bridge and Ego just disabled them?

Do you guys see it in action in small ships too?
Edit:
