You have to try it and see, most of the descriptions given are not what you start with, some don't work at all and will not even load, but a few are really cool, you just have to try them all out.

Do you just mean that if they remove the game start info from the game the mod wont work (obviously) or will it mess up our save game if we use one of these starts and then they remove it?
'Rising Property Values' I believe. Basically spending at least 500,000 credits just to open a plot for a station. (My station was 8x8x8)
That quickstart for trading was to keep new players from spoiling themselves with a station at the start of the game. Though, the PHQ did that pretty quickly.
