If the option to only allow teleporting to/from your own stations is turned off, it is possible to teleport from ships to other ships and from ships to stations, but not from stations to ships.

I really like the idea of this mod, when I first played the game I expected the panel to teleport you, odd that EgoSoft didn't think of this.
Some additional ideas
What would be really nice is if you not only had to research teleportation, but you also had to produce a teleporter extension for each of your ships to be able to use the transporter room panel for teleportation, so you can teleport to any ship from a ship with a teleporter, but you can't from a ship without.
To teleport make it so the shields get taken down on both ships.
If a ship with pilot inventory has a teleporter and is within range make it possible to transfer inventory items via teleportation to and from an AI pilot, so you don't have to manually go onboard and talk to the pilot yourself.
Have an emergency teleport, so it teleports you to a random safe position within the sector, or perhaps to a nav beacon.
Then instead of the alternatives to death mod making you invulnerable, make it to you can activate an emergency shield overdrive whenever you like so it fully restores the shields with 10-50x the strength that lasts 10 seconds but all your other systems go offline (engines, weapons), at the end of the 10 seconds the shield gets destroyed, so if somehow the ship survives you need to buy a new shield.
And if a spacefly gets in the transporter room with you...
That could even depend on the engineering skill combined of the crew! Representing how the tuning of the Ship Teleporter module is done. Newbies might make mistakes, giving higher chances to TP off target etc.. can make for some nice procedural storytelling...
Hey guys i´m a bit confused by how this works, i finally got the HQ and researched teleportation first level, i assumed this means i can now teleport to my ships from the base right ? but when i tried it says ship doesnt have teleportation.
which settings do i have to enable/disable to be able to teleport from stations/hq to my ships and from my ships to stations/hq ?
Hi Kuertee! I was wondering if there is a way to customize your mod to allow teleportation ONLY to/from HQ, not ship to ship. This would make sense, for those as me who really don't like the teleportation for immersion. Or maybe an idea for a future mod of yours ;-)

some of them are a bit more involved. but i'll see if i can implement them in my next releases. except for the inclusion of brundlefly, of course
Having to eqip a ship with teleporter to teleport out could add some flavour to teleporting activites.
Letting your imagination run wild - maybe a tiny chance of teleporter malfunction - so it teleports you to a random NPC ship/station when happens.
