    I get problems with NPC wharfs with the 1000x version. It seems like the NPC Station manager doesnt store the resouces to be able to build ships which results in no ships being produced. I had this problem with the Terran wharf in the Terran Cadet start. 100x seem to work fine tho.

      What happens is that the value becomes so big that storage is set to 0 so no parts can be stored

      Yeah it looks like they're using int32 for the aggregate storage count. That means it caps out at: 2,147,483,647. 
      In other words if you're using the 1000x you can only have 2 large storages without overflowing the value.

    Does increasing the storage capacity have any impact on how the economy functions?

      I just built this out yesterday so I'm not sure what long term effects it's going to have on the economy yet. 
      It does increase the capacity of the storage for the AI as well. 
      I've been contemplating making new instances of the storage modules that can only be used by the player to to avoid any any unknown consequences It might have.
