Description
This mod has two major changes. The first is to give each boss that has a heat mode a unique aura* and attack trails, similar to how it works in Older games, as well as post-K2 games. The second is to make the late game bosses a bit more of a threat without breaking the game balance and while maintaining compatibility with other mods.
Below are the bosses affected by the mod:
- Ryuji
- Majima*
- Hayashi
- Shindo
- Man In Black
- Kim and Choi*
For specific changes, there is a .pdf file included in the mod folder with all the changes made.
Any feedback is welcome.
Installation
Use Shin Ryu Mod Manager. Download only one of the two versions (Visual only or full) and any optional files you might want, extract the zip files and place the folders inside the mods folder within the game directory. Path should look like this:
...\Yakuza Kiwami 2\mods\Boss Overhaul - [Version]\
Mod should be compatible with pretty much anything. Load mine last for best results.
* Notes
• Due to how I made the game differentiate the auras, Kim and Choi will share their auras with the Amons during their respective substories, while Majima's aura will be shared with any coliseum fighter that also has a heat mode. If I find a way to fix it, I will, but for now that is just how it is.
• As long as another mod that also alters attack trails uses JE's particle.bin, it will work just fine with my mod as long as mine is loaded after.
