    ALTERNATE SMITHING XP FORMULA
    Complete Crafting Overhaul introduces a new method for calculating Smithing experience. The idea behind this new formula came from UnmeiX, and he deserves credit for much of it. The goal of the new formula is to stress experimentation and crafting a wide variety of different items, as opposed to the vanilla method which rewards repeatedly crafting the same item.

    Before I explain the new method, let's first review the vanilla formula. In the vanilla game, the most effective way to level smithing is to focus on a handful of items with the best ratio of material cost to gold value. This system emphasizes and rewards the mass-production of cheap items.

    CONSISTENT CRAFTING RECIPES

    All crafting recipes have been reworked for greater consistency. I have tried to standardize the recipe patterns that existed in the vanilla game and apply them more reliably across all armor and weapon types. The basic recipe formulas, as used by CCO, are:

    Cuirass = 5 primary - 2 secondary - 2 leather - 4 leather strips
    Gauntlets = 2primary - 1 secondary - 1 leather - 2 leather strips
    Helmet = 3 primary - 1 secondary - 1 leather - 1 leather strip
    Shield = 4 primary - 1 secondary - 2 leather strips
    ...

    To facilitate compatibility and enhance consistency, CCO directly incorporates support for several popular mods, including Cloaks of Skyrim, Bandoliers, Jaysus Swords, Jewelcraft, and Winter is Coming Cloaks.  Additionally CCO-versions of several mods are available in the optional file section.

    Whenever possible, I have tried to provide these as replacement plugins rather than patch files, both for my own convenience and to reduce the need for extra plugins.  This means that in most cases, you wil...
