If using AE or VR, the SPID File in optionals will work for you, it has a tiny and light script which works off of SPID Alternatively, you can use https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/69298 instead of on hit framework as a requirement, this new version of on hit framework works with SE, AE and VR
Not sure if anyone mentioned this, but if you have sax mods that damage your sax partner during scenes. If you use the spid version, there is a chance that your sax partner will flinch during the scene xD. Just a heads up.
The mod doesn't work for me, game is saying this error message (probably SKSE error message):
MaxsuOnHitAnimFW.dll disabled, only compatible with versions earlier than 1.6.629
AE version of the game, I've tried to install this mod the first way. Only then I read the install properly, uninstalled all, and tried SPID. The above error is still the same. Could someone kindly please help?
I'd strongly recommend not using this mod, use Precision instead - https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/72347 As it does what Flinching set out to do but much better
Precision has come a long way in terms of stability. I also like the directional flinching and how your swing can cause the enemy to ragdoll in the direction of your strike. However, you end up missing at key moments, either hitting an obstruction in cramped caves or having to reposition because your swing isn't exactly on target. Depending on your load order (Shadow Of Skyrim, Simonrim, Dragon Cult, Organic Factions etc.) having your DPS reduced because of missed attacks could cause quite a set back.
Hopefully, somebody resurrects this mod. I'm not a fan of Precision and would much rather just use Synthesis for applying reach fixes instead.
People also can't read half the time and install everything wrong.
I've been using precision in my current run- and I've cleared the companions, mage's guild questline's so far without issue. I've also finished Beyond Skyrim Bruma, and a few other things without issue this run. So far no stability problems and my load order is -thicc-.

If you had one of my other versions of this mod and want to switch to this one, the uninstall instructions for the older versions are here
