Q : Can I go 50% faster? 100% is too fast for me... A : Yes, you can use fractional numbers, setting a multiplier to 1.5 will make you go 50% faster! Find your ideal setting from the mod configuration menu!
Q : Mod doesn't work (as in, I loaded a save and the configuration files don't get created) A : Your mod isn't installed correctly, make sure to export your list to the game from BG3MM, SE needs to be installed, if it is you should see a yellow icon near the version number
Q : Mod doesn't work (as in, I loaded a save and the configuration files are created, but the mod does nothing) A : Yeah, maybe it doesn't, idk, works on my machine. Give me some infos and I'll try to help you.
Q : Why is Wyll slow? A : Horny Wyll and all disguised/shapeshifted characters cannot be sped up with SE atm, sorry. (っ °Д °;)っ Wyll should be speedy speed boy since 2.0
Q : Enemies teleport sometimes in battle A : You made them too fast, game doesn't understand what it means to go fast. (っ °Д °;)っ
Working good on Patch8. I had an older version which was still working. The latest stand alone version seems to be 4.0.1.0. My config from the old install worked, and I still had the dwrite.dll in place.
Mate, pls, could you release standalone version without MCM requirement. Just the default versions is fine. I like QOL mods, but i don't wanna deal with cheat mods. It breaks the immersion.
UPDTATE: Configurable_MovementSpeed-2.0.0.1-Beta - Version 2.0.0.1-Beta.
This one works for me without MCM if anyone else is interested
Glad you found a working version, tho I just want to point out: MCM is not a cheat mod. It's simply a graphical interface to configure mods ingame without the need to edit JSON files/config files. You may be mislead by the "EasyCheat" screenshot on MCM's mod page but that's a different mod that is also using MCM to configure itself. You are safe to install MCM without the need of any additional cheat mods :)
Thank you so much!! Is there any chance you could please upload a version that does not require the MCM? (just the default x2 speed) - thanks is any case!
I would love this as an option too. I've used hundreds of mods and for some reason mcm is the only one that consistently gives me issues. I've learned to forego mods that require it. The speed issue is something that's had me gnashing my teeth ever since EA though so this mod is really up my alley
When I unpack the original Configurable_Run_Speed.pak file, inside the extracted folder there is a compressed folder with the exact same name of the mod file, which contains one .pak file itself, also titled Configurable_Run_Speed.pak. The size of the original downloaded mod is 234 KB, and the .pak file withing the original .pak file is 117 KB. I'm slightly confused as to which .pak file I'm supposed to use.
Yo i'm playing an older version of the game (Patch 6) and unfortunately i don't think MCM has any working versions for patch 6. How do i configure the speed without MCM?
This mod is pretty nice. However, it seems to work intermittently. Not sure if this is a conflict situation or what. But it really is a strange one.
If I invoke the MCM with a hot key, it will kill the speed boost. If I then use the slider to adjust, if I use the hot key again to dismiss the MCM...it reverts to slow. If I bring up the MCM, set the speed, test it with moving...then X out the MCM the setting stays...
...until I invoke the MCM again. I've been trying to nail this issue down for a week or so now, with no luck. Debug lv 4 also really doesn't give me any hints sadly. Right now, it's a workable issue. I just have to fiddle to get it working and then leave the MCM alone unless I need it for something (like Easy Dye, etc).
I had a similar situation with another mod, only I had a character stopped running at all and walked only slowly. Try to open MCM hotkey call after loading the save, in the MCM window set everything you need, but when you close it - close not hotkey, but by pressing the cursor on the cross, if the cursor does not appear, you can just press ESC and pause with the cursor appeared to close the MCM menu, then return to the game and everything should work. You may also need to do everything the other way around, in any case try to work with enabling/disabling the mcm window while the game is paused.
I only installed this mod (I already have MCM installed) it seems to cause a weird issue when initiating a conversation with any character lipsync is just slightly off and the animation of the character appears to cut/skip a single frame or 2, I didnt adjust any value is there a solution ?
It's a bug with the game. There is really no way to fix it other than disabling the movement speed during combat or using this mod instead https://baldursgate3.game/mods#/m/everybody-moves-fast( note that this does not work for origin Astarian)

Next version will have an ingame configuration menu! (a bit after the next SE version releases)
Read the mod description before doing anything, then the FAQ below.
Report bugs in the bug section, I don't want to see a bug report in the post section...
Remember to save often.

Question, does this mod affect keybinds? EDIT: Nope, a save reload fixed the issue.
