Thanks a lot LuciDinn! I have been trying to find Agmena Paneuropean Book which is what Elden Ring used for UI, but unfortunately it is a paid font. For anyone interested, there is another font from the same set; it is almost identical and free to download. "Agmena Pro Book" is the name
Edit: meh, it looks somewhat okay style-wise but is considerably smaller than the default font. Have you found any way to edit that? Regardless, thanks again for showing how to do this!
Edit2: Fontforge is great in conjunction with JPEXS. I stopped being a dummy and made it work
I've been experimenting with this myself for an upcoming update to my Bloodborne mod.
I wouldn't recommend embedding "All Characters" at all. I would recommend only embedding "Uppercase", "Lowercase", Numerals" and "Punctuation". The reason I say this is because with some fonts embedding "All Characters" breaks the controller button glyphs.
I thought the controller glyphs were controlled via textures in the common.tpf file, aren't they? Viewing the gfx font doesn't show any glyphs, but then again I could be looking in the wrong section of the file.
